Overall, I think they’re all just bad human beings and are terrible at their chosen profession.

They really do seem like insecure pricks who couldn’t cut it playing so they stand out there like big shite spitting sunflower seeds, pimping out calls on routine ground balls and shite like everyone paid to see them.

Don’t blame him. Everyone Tenn plays seems to be cocky and taunts them. Not sure why

These umpires have zero feel.

Nah! The Ump was tired and sleepy. It was late and he wanted to get some rest. Busy Sat. ahead.

It's not ruining Jared Jones moment to get him to run the bases. The ump wasn't pushing him, he wasn't yelling at him. He did his job.
If the shoe were flipped and this game was in Knoxville and a vol did that LSU fans would be outraged.

If the ump doesn't do what he's supposed to do in that situation - he'd get reprimanded.

Meh. Home team should get a little latitude when they walk it off in the 9th with a 450 ft. piss rod to dead center after entering the bottom half down by 3. By both the umps and fans of the losing team.

Not that you can walk it off on the road, but most normal LSU fans would have been pissed we blew a 3-0 lead in the 9th if we got walked off in Knoxville in the reverse situation. There’d be the usual rantards calling for the firing of Jay, Yeskie, Woodward, etc…and the guys in the pen who gave up the lead. The sky is falling, “we won’t host a regional, much less get a top 8 now. Hell, we might not even MAKE a regional.”

Then the even rantardiest of rantards who were already out tonight comparing Jay to Ed O, saying Paul should get credit for the ‘23 championship, Jay sucks, etc…

Then sure, there’d be a few complaining about the pimping. But a lot of those even would be about how Jay’s teams are soft, nobody would have done that to Skip’s teams cause they knew their leaders off would be getting a fastball to the dome the next night…

Would he? And “what he’s supposed to do” is completely subjective. I get it’s become a heated rivalry, it was really late, it was a huge game, it was Game 1 and you don’t want things spilling over into Games 2 and 3,etc…I get all that. But when you hit a ball that far to walk it off in all those situations, I’m gonna let you admire it a little bit longer than most cases if I’m the ump. He wasn’t looking in their dugout and pointing or pounding his chest. He was taking in what may have been the biggest personal moment of his baseball career.

I got reprimanded for blinking on a similar action

It has been a huge point of emphasis the past 4-5 year

Why were the stands so empty? Is attendance an issue these days?

What he should've been doing was looking at the plate to see the winning run cross over, not following the batter down the 1st base line.

The 3 hour rain delay and 10pm local time first pitch might have had something to do with it.

Won't have that issue tonight
