No shite. At nearly 50 and out of shape and never having played baseball my hand eye coordination isn't what it used to be. I would have tried to catch it but would have thrown body in front of her in case I missed. Ball hits me it is going to hurt and cause a good bruise, ball hits a young child and it can cause some serious damage.
Guy in that striped shirt needs to have the frick slapped out of him. He makes no attempt at all to shield the girl.

Just look at the unbridled fear in those "men".
I think it's a great shot, increase awareness of the p*ssification of America.
All those doughboys around her had to do was catch the damn ball instead of dodge it.
We rarely had enough gloves to go around when kids, so always some guys in the outfield barehanded. Even a hot one only stings for a sec.

You can't blame the media for reporting the news and showing images. We've seen a lot worse.
I feel for the little girl, not because of the Advocate's photo but because she was injured. There were at least two line drive fouls during the game that were lasers which would have done a great deal of harm if they would have hit anyone.

Totally disagree with you. With your logic maybe they should play baseball games with nobody in the stands so no one would have a possibility of getting hit by a ball. If you think that’s what they should do. Please just stay home because you do not belong in a ball park
