I feel horrible that the little girl got hit.....but when you sit in areas with no protective netting, this is a risk. Anytime I'm sitting down the lines or in the outfield, I keep my glove on or at least handy to try to stop a screamer if its hit our way.

I don't see a single dumb fuq with a glove on...I see a bunch of dumb fatties trying to get their lard azzes out of the way. What gives?

There must be reforms at ballparks across America. It's time to put wire mesh screens flush with the foul lines AND the outfield fences.

This sort of ball park mayhem is just uncalled for. Don't people ever think about the CHILDREN?

there was a spate of drunk firemen falling over the railing at Texas Rangers ball games a few years back, now they have put a raised firemen protection rail around the perimeter of the field to help contain them

Where was the father (or mother)?

You have to protect your daughter in that scenario.

Cover up her little face.

Its just a picture of the bleachers before the ball hits her. Not a big deal.

Had the headline had a picture of her crying and bleeding as she's carried to the ambulance, then maybe you'd have an argument.

In any case...

was told by medical personnel familiar with the incident that her condition was not serious.

Sucked at the moment, but she's fine now and chances are she's gonna get a ton of LSU signed memorabilia and maybe even meet Jordan.

I'm sorry but unless you are an immobile baby, it's time are able to not let things that have been traveling on a set path for 4 seconds to hit you in the face.

There are people around her that don't seem to know where the ball is. It also sounds like the girl hit is not pictured, which means the useless fricks in front of her blocked her vision of the ball until the last second.

I am surprised some of you do want to ban the game of baseball or blame DT for that happening to a defenseless child

It is time we take action and ban baseballs from baseball games.

Or she wasn't paying attention. Or she has terrible hand/eye.

She's fine. Just needs to look alive.

Jesus Christ do you just walk around all day trying to find things that you can get mad about and defend Trump? What a pathetic insecure existence you must have.

And then you linked it, ensuring maximum exposure. Was THAT necessary?

Is that guy in the yellow shirt one row behind her cowering away in fear of the ball?

That's pretty good camera work. Some of those men should be ashamed. It's a home run not a fouled off screamer off the bat. You have plenty of time to set up and get ready for it. Protect the child.
