I've never seen so much sidewalk fandom from one person in my life. Goddamn you are really into that tshirt.

Look at you, DEMANDING success from YOUR team. It's great. The creepy connection you feign between your manhood and the football team of a school you never even considered going to is one of the most entertaining things about this site for me.

Not even reading through this thread. But to the OP, since you seem find of asking questions:

Does being good at one point in the past mean you are infallible and should never be questioned?

Yes, his average wins are higher than any coach in the past (surely bolstered by a few stellar years of 11 or more wins). So when would it be fair for someone to say they want him gone? When that average becomes lower than a previous coach?

LSU football has been my great undying passion since I was but a wee lad in 1973. I listened to all the games on the radio and remember crying when Charles Alexander graduated.

I spent 5 1/2 of the best years of my life on that campus. Moisties everywhere, God bless em, even if they did have bows in their hair. I know every corner of that campus and cut a check every year to help fund this or that.

I suppose my attachment to LSU football is a bit different than a guy who DEMANDS (DAMN IT!!!!!) that LSU be the top football school in America. I'd sure as hell love us to be, but I can adjust to it just being The Golden Era of LSU Football, with great rivalries, players and personalities. I thank God that I was able to witness it, attend every game with my handsome and healthy son, and that I have the humility to be grateful for that.

The haters can continue on their endless quest to control the Universe.

As for me, God Bless LSU Football and what it has given me in my lifetime.

Sir you are short sighted and can't see the big picture.

No one can argue with most of the success LM has had at LSU in terms of winning games. But when the offensive side of the ball is so predictable that announcers call the play before it is run...then I see a reason for improvement.

What we are talking about is Championships, SEC and National. LSU has always had talent....great talent. It always boils down to coaching here.

Hell, any coach can come to LSU and win 9 games a year.
Our offense shows no originality no consistency no innovation. It is sad to see all the talent come through this team year end and year out and end up losing to a team that hasn't recruited and doesn't have the facilities, etc. Like moo state. (oh, expect more of these in the future if you're asking)

Miles is stuck in Michigan, Bo type football. Even Saban has made the adjustment.

Should we go away from the power run game....hell no!
But it would be nice to set up the power run game with a mix of short to intermediate passing.

Or lets just be stubborn and run against 9 and 10 men in the box........that will do it!

Remember the definition of insanity.....

You're not reading through the thread, and then you ask the same stupid question that's been asked incredulously at least five times in the thread. Good luck.

The flaw is in your interpretation of my argument, specifically your ignorance of my specifically refraining from saying that my argument is 100% conclusive or that stats prove anything.

I haven't even gotten to your hollow, misinformed conclusions. I’m still on slide 1 of your inherently flawed, doomed to failed methodology.

Coaches (including Les) will always be evaluated on not only what they actually accomplish, but also what they could have potentially (within reason) accomplished.

BTW, your post is a reply to me but the quote in it ain't mine. Give credit where it's due.

You sir are borderline...nay, full blown retarded.

Your lord and savior Nick Saban had two seasons where he only won 8 games.

comprehensive results

Those of us who've been following this thread are still waiting for these . . .

Suggestion: fix your model and then you can discuss results. Until then, it's a flawed methodology.

Les may be proven to be elite. But you haven't done so; and won't until you fix your model.

This is where you revealed you know absolutely nothing about football. I mean nothing, zero. There is some stupidity in this thread, but you sir just leaped to the top of the heap. Congrats.

I've mostly agreed with you in this thread, but one thing I'm not to sure of why are you putting such an emphasis on going to the school at LSU to be a true LSU fan. My LSU fandom runs deep and deeper than many of my friends, even people who went to LSU. But I almost didn't go to LSU, not because I wasn't a big enough fan but because other colleges could have given me a better chance to pursue the career I wanted to pursue. I did eventually end up going to LSU, but my fandom wouldn't have decreased because I decided to go to some other college instead.

Note: I refused to go to any other SEC school, my fandom went deep enough that I couldn't do that to myself.

I've not presented this as my goal. I've said clearly that statistics prove nothing other than themselves; they do suggest things and support opinions. You keep attributing to me assertions I've not made.

I'm not so sure about 9 games a year but a blind simian is probably good for 7 or 8 a year with this money, recruits, facilities, and per capita talent this state has year in and yeAr out. Do we have to worry about Tennessee or auburn like bama does? No and they still are beating us in recruits. Are we robbing bama like they are doing to us? And this is supposedly miles' strongpoint.

Edit: my bad you were referring to another coach not a simian winning 9. Lol.
