'm not so sure about 9 games a year but a blind simian is probably good for 7 or 8 a year with this money, recruits, facilities, and per capita talent this state has year in and yeAr out.
What's that say about the guy who can't get into LSU?

Hell, any coach can come to LSU and win 9 games a year.

Leave it to someone with no argument to seize on a pt about the talent at LSU and spin it so as to ignore the rest of the post.

Spin as you will but the fact is we all know that our offense is so predictable that a pop warner coach could scheme successfully against it.

That is the overriding pt you want to avoid.

Why don't you try it before spouting ignorance and clogging up threads with "Miles sucks, herpity, derpity, hurr, hurrr?

5/17 1st half
3/20 2nd half
29/37 passes on 1st and 2nd down- Sacks, and pass penalties included, as they are actual pass play attempts.

For the season so far, from the splits it's
1st-36 att,
2nd-31,
3rd-28

Not a good fit for your shtick "Miles= Toss Power 3 times and punt.....hurrr, hurrrr."

You actually doubled down on that shite, and he made you look like a damn fool a second time.

You gonna just admit you were wrong, or is it only a flesh wound?

There are lots of stats sites. For someone who mouths off as much as you about the sport I can't figure you not knowing how to dispute the post.

No hard feelings, just post what you know, instead of what you think.
Look under 1st down, 2nd......

LSU has run the ball exactly twice as much as they have passed it this year. 192 rushing attempts and 96 passing attempts. They ran 35 times against MS. State and had 37 passing attempts.

This I know also. Very much against the narrative all running and lack of passing lost the game.
It was lack of execution of the plays in place on both sides of the ball, which before the lynch mob gets in an uproar, ultimately falls on Miles.

This. On offense it was especially the failure of third down conversions. Could not sustain a drive... Also tended to get behind the chains with second and long and third and long.

Well we all see how well that coaching change has worked out for UT. They have been wandering the coaching wasteland trying to be relevant for years now.

That's the coaching cautionary tale that LSU fans should be reading - coaches that can come in and win 80% are on a short list - and they're all taken.

Total lack of understanding.....UT is a recruiting nightmare compared to Louisiana. We hardly have to leave the state to find talent...UT has to go far and wide to get theirs....

And its about the Jimmy's and the Joe's...and less about the x's and o's....every coach will admit to that.

Thanks for the OP and on-going rebuttals.

Taylor Zarzar (spelling?) Said it best this morning "if you want entertainment read message boards, but if you want sound analysis THEN don't go to those places". So true.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading a good bit of this thread. You nailed it.

As for your question "when?" When more season ticket holders give up their tickets than new buyers emerge to take their place. I hope that day never comes and Miles retires as LSU's undisputed GOAT.

Here's the real numbers. Les' first three years average losses were 2. Since then(not including 2014) he has averaged 3 losses per year(that is an increase of 50%). Les' first three years bowl percentage w/l 100%. Since then 50%. What was the difference in his first three years.
Not a basher just a realist. I am not saying there is a better alternative. I am only responding to the post.
