hey guys. Planning an away trip to Nashville and curious on yalls opinion on what time kick off will be? It would be terrible to go over there for a 11 oclock kick off! Also will it be announced 2 weeks before the game or after week 1? thanks ahead of time

It'll probably be announced September 9th.

Could be any of the SEC Network or ESPNU timeslots that day.

I'm thinking it'll be at 11, which won't be bad. It's not like there's great tailgating, or any atmosphere in that stadium anyway.

Go to the game, then your afternoon is open to head downtown (or wherever) for some Nashville entertainment.

I agree. ive watched some youtube videos of Georgia going there and taking over and the tailgating looks fun (due to that many fans going) I know we always travel good and could make a good showing tailgate and fan wise, but I think with the so many going to Austin a few weeks before might hurt it a little. thanks and

If I had to guess I would say the 6pm sec network slot.

Kickoff will be at either 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM. I hope this helps.....

I'm hoping for 11 am so that I can go out celebrating an asskicking after in downtown Nashville.

I'm hoping 6 so I can drown in beer but that sounds fun as well.

We really won't know until Sunday or Monday for TV. I'm thinking about going.

Just purchased two tickets and hoping it is a 6:00 PM game. A little cooler than 11:00 AM and maybe a bigger national audience.

Never been to Nashville, so really looking forward to seeing the Tigers in that stadium!

I am thinking 11 AM unfortunately. Let me know if you have any questions about your visit. Areas in town, restaurants, bars, things to do, etc.

I am heading there with Mrs. Viking, and we are not very concerned about game time. The results will be the same, me blind drunk and her shaking her head at me.

Having said that, why don't you make your suggestions? I have been to Nashville (been a long time), but never to a game.

This game takes a back seat to five better games that day. Probably a good thing, as it'll maybe get the night slot on a secondary network -ESPNU or SEC Network. We know UGA - ND is at night and I expect Auburn - A & M at 2:30.

UGA - Notre Dame
Florida - Tennessee
Auburn - A & M
State - UK
USC(e) - Mizzou

Have you booked your hotel yet? What part of town are you staying?

I'm gonna piggy back this. We're staying in the Shelpby Hills area according to google maps. Not very far east from Nissan Stadium. Really don't care about driving distance.

Side question for anyone, am I better off waiting to see what tickets/pricing is available when Vandy sells single game tickets or should I just go to vivdseats now. They're not too badly priced.

I've got eight rooms and will probably cut six loose this week. Four rooms at the Mariott in the end zone and four rooms at Embassy about an 18 minute walk away.

Yes. It is one of the two hotels within .5 mile of the stadium. Not sure if it is the Holiday Inn or the Marriott. Looks to be some bar restaurant scene on the other side of the hotel from campus.

I am open to all suggestions. and i am not limited to this immediate vicinity.

TIA
