And what is your point? You think the scheme we're looking at now and the fact he still has Sloan hanging around has nothing to do with it's what BK wants scheme wise? You're naive if you think that.
BK pulled OC duties away from Sloan last year before it improved. He did the same thing to some of his OCs at ND. It's BK's offense. Denbrock was someone familiar with BK so it was easy to slide him in to scheme together. He needs OCs that are familiar with his scheme.
Like I said in another thread, the worst thing for LSU was to waste JD's season and have him explode like that because BK decided to just keep a similar offense. Someone needs to force him to send Sloan packing and put a big name OC on this team this year but how can we?
BK's coaching decisions are the reason we're in this mess. He has been absolutely atrocious with the coaching decisions first defense now offense. Guy has no foresight at all at identifying problems before they reach epidemic levels. Dude spews analytics all the time but can't even put a coach like Davis on the analytic board to see everywhere he has been his OL's underperform on runs. You know Sloan sucks so bad at OCing you keep him around on your most expensive roster? Make it make sense.
I'm genuinely convinced he either doesn't give a shite or he's absolutely that incompetent. L either way you look at it.

You are back to weaving together unrelated bullshite to try and prop up your narratives. We all know why he kept Sloan. It wasn’t to “run Kelly’s offense” when we have NEVER RUN what anyone has ever thought of as his past offense since he arrived.
People were scared to death we would be running the same TE-focused, run heavy offense from ND when Kelly was hired, and it seemed like a foregone conclusion that would be the case when he hired Denbrock, who was running a very similar scheme and personnel at Cincinnati. But that offense has never made an appearance here. It seems it never will.
Sloan may have been retained to run the same basic offensive scheme and playbook as Denbrock, but not because it magically became “Kelly’s offense” that he never actually ran anywhere else before here.

More of your nonsense. That’s simply not true.

Denbrock worked with BK at ND which BTW is one of those OCs he had fall on the sword for him over there. You are absolutely naive if you think BK did not have a heavy hand into Denbrock's scheme here which is why he's still running it and also why he chose an in-over-their-head OC to run said scheme. Despite relinquishing his duties and knowing he's not capable.
Just because he did not run that scheme at ND, doesn't mean it's not BK's offense. It is. That's his side of the ball he's heavily responsible for since he's offensive minded. Denbrock isn't here and he's still running it which is why he chose someone familiar with the scheme in Sloan. Part of this is probably due to him not wanting to change much for Nuss to have a smoother transition after JD.
Someone is going to have to force him to make a move here. Hopefully boosters tell him to kick rocks on getting $$$ for a roster until he makes moves on offense.

And their offense is designed to chew clock.
Yep. Add that with our defense and we would be a slow moving, unstoppable machine.

What an explosion of offensive prowess displayed by Vanderbilt today. I hope we can handle them at such a hostile environment on the road. The way they chewed that clock has me shook.

Expertly Coachingly said.
For the grammar dude I know that’s not a word.

This is just you wild arse guessing. The only one with some actual evidence on his side is me. You even admitted that Kelly had not forced his previous scheme here.
Kelly has no hands-on experience actually developing or running an offense from the ground up. He was never an OC or an offensive position coach. He has never developed a scheme or an offensive playbook on his own.
Kelly may have developed a greater interest in the offensive side of the ball as a head coach, but the fact is that his early coaching experience was on defense. This is all well-documented.

No. If we fire Sloan Kelly will promote Alex Atkins to OC or some dumb arse shite. I don’t understand how he didn’t learn his lesson from the horrendous inexperienced defensive hires from a few years ago.

Vanderbilt's O was TERRIBLE. They only really moved the ball in the first quarter and were shut out in the second half. Very ineffective in terms of scoring.
In 2024 Vandy could only score twice versus LSU's terrible defense.
