We have two of the best pitchers in this whole tournament and just won against what was considered the best team by most. This was a phenomenal win.

DVH explained during the in game interview right after he pulled Root why he did it. The decision turned out well as Gaeckle didn’t give up any runs and pitched deep into the game.

Thats definitely a "Hindsight" take. He started his ace. When his ace ran into trouble, he decided to take him out and put in his best bullpen arm. You have to understand his thought process was to trust his team. They have a very good hitting team.he was betting on them being able to scoresome rundown but Kade shut them down inning after inning.
