Let's just say this, it can be and has been discreetly done.

But you do not see whiskey bottles strewn all over the stands afterwards like I have seen in TS.

We love it! I think I can speak for all Tiger fans when I say 7:30 is fine.

Brings a tear to my eyes as I remember back pre-1983 when game-time in Tiger Stadium was 7:30 pm.

I don't understand the phrase badass as regards a start time. Makes no sense

What are you talking about? It seats 73k, not like it's a small stadium. It's just old and needs repairs, but it's still a good stadium

Husky Stadium is in the best location of any stadium in the country, IMO. It is quite the site. All Tiger fans will truly be impressed if they make the trip.

Husky Stadium is pretty unique.

Everything about it is awesome except the annoying track but when we get it renovated the track is going to be removed and the stands will be brought in closer to the field. It's just old and needs a tune up.

Some people up here want the dawgs to move to Qwest Field but that would destroy almost 90 years of tradition (I think it was 1920 that the stadium was built in).

The football program itself is around 118 years old.

That's ridiculous. It'll be 10:30 here in Ga.

Its friggin' Labor Day Weekend. Rejoice in the fact that you'll get to experience one of the finest days of college football (timing-wise) in history for LSU fans watching on TV.

For East-Coasters, an entire day of college football, beginning at noon (10am if you count ESPN College GameDay).

Game after game… beer after beer… boudin link after boudin link... you'll have time to grill for four meals that day and you'll cap it off…
… with a 10:30pm (Eastern) kickoff of LSU at Washington!!

After eight months of no college football, you are blasted with OVER THIRTEEN GLORIOUS HOURS of it on Saturday, September 5th!!

And, remember, its Labor Day Weekend!! Sleep late Sunday and even Monday if you like!!

That is all.

unfortunately, that will make the mooring and the boat transfers very difficult for those going by private boat...

I still don't understand what this means. We have a big party barge reserved for GameDay that docks at U-dub. I would think the late start time is better ... meaning more time to party all day?

Why do you say the late start time will make boat transfers difficult?

In addition to the party boats that dock up, there are numerous "private" boats that anchor up in the bay. They are transferred to/from the stadium by a small boat that picks them up. I stated "private" boat because that would denote a non-commercial party boat. It has nothing to do with partying - rather, lighting, darkness, and finding your boat in the dark, etc. That's all...

In the past, at least when I was a student, UW had not permitted night games because of the difficulty with traffic and the water taxis. However, this has changed recently since we can no longer command our typical 12:30 kick off times and as TV revenue dictates.

Dawg...thanks for the scouting report. Appreciate it.

Actually there are a lot of LSU fans upset that we are beginning the season on the road against a BCS conference team. It's somewhat of a concern because of our youth at QB and holes to fill at WR, D-Line, 0-Line and Linebacker. In addition, we have overhauled our Defensive coaching staff. This will be a very interesting game, (season for that matter) to say the least, for LSU fans.

Without looking at the match-ups intently, my immediate impression is overall team speed and depth will be a big advantage for LSU. Our RB, Charles Scott, is a bruiser and behind him we have Keiland Williams and Richard Murphy. Jordan Jefferson, our QB, has established himself this spring as the starter. He's bulked up, and now understands the offensive schemes better.

Still...question marks abound this year and I'm looking forward to a formidable road test to open the season.

(Can't wait to see all the purple and gold)

He was saying, I think, the scenery of Husky Stadium on the water front was badass, not the start time.

Finally a super late start game worth watching. I have nothing against the PAC-10 but staying up till 11 to watch Oregon State vs Stanford isn't the most exciting thing in the world.
