There's no way they'd change the kickoff time. Too much $$$$ involved with the networks.
they changed Michigan-Maryland last week.

ESPN can easily swap games around in the 11 am timeslot and put the LSU game wherever it needs to be,
Or just move it to espn3

I'm willing to bet the majority of USC fans with tickets to the game have other things to worry about besides traveling to Baton Rouge for a football game.
Just a hunch.
But they'll get first dibs.

At worst, the LSU-SC game would be on SEC Network+

There is a reason Panthers chose to fix field now. The field wouldn't be ready for Saturday.
Fair enough.
How many does Georgia Tech's stadium sit?
ETA: 55k. That's not a lot.

While this is a very bad situation, it doesn't have the breadth or impact that Katrina and Rita did on LSU and South Louisiana. Literally 1.5 million people were displaced. SC is dealing with maybe 30,000.

Move Ga State there and LSU/USC to Ga Dome?

SECN Alternate channel is available in the evening

The game would be on an SECN alt before ESPN3

Not gonna lie, I thought the same thing.

ETA: Might be our last chance to play in the GA Dome :/

I never said they'd take all the tickets. Just that they should get first choice. I'm sure there are some USC fans who made it through the storm just fine and have the time and money to make the trip.

I would be fine with the Ga Dome

They aren't taking Leonard Fournette off of national TV

That's why I think LSU is planning on 6 p.m. if the game is moved here.
Also, I wonder if ESPN would bump ECU at BYU off of ESPNU to get Fournette/SEC/big story of moved game on wider-spread TV.

Once again, Georgia State is playing in the Georgia Dome.

Peach Bowl is still played there right?

Joking

All of this talk about Jacksonville, Charlotte, and Atlanta. Wouldn't it make more sense just to move it to Baton Rouge. Not having to worry about a neutral site???

So are they saying it would be too torn up for 2 weeks from now?
Perhaps the "not good" comments wasn't about the potential damage to the field moving forward, but perhaps the newly seeded field isn't ready for a game to be played on it?
