Urban Meyer, the greatest offense mind in CFB history, proves that.
Never even been an OC lmfao

Did he explain why he chose Haskins over Burrow?

Alabama has the best offensive in the country and their QB isn’t a running threat. Just saying.
Bama has been the one outlier.
They compensate with great defenses and overal talent.
They have claim to be WR-RB- OL “U”.
Just a machine.

Not sure what that is supposed to mean

You’re better than this.
I know O is your boy but you don’t just chalk this up to losing players and not having a mobile QB.
This LSU team has been historically bad, especially within the context of modern history.
Urban is right. You don’t give up 52 explosive plays in 5 games without internal issues

It can’t be bold when it’s widely accepted

Urban Meyer is great on television, much better than anyone on College Gameday. Herbstreit is polished, but he never really provides any insight that isn't fairly obvious. I know a lot of people don't like Urban, but I always have.

1) losing the most players to the nfl in an offseason in the history of history
But we’re one of the worst teams in the conference, losing to 2 dogs, and that’s inexcusable.
And hiring new coordinators? That’s on O. College schemes aren’t complex, because even in a normal year there’s a 20 hour limit on practices and games, so coaches keep it simple.
Other teams around the country have brought in new staff and done just fine.
Why can’t we?

But when you go from undefeated to struggling to avoid your first losing season in 21 years, you can’t just shrug and say oh well-attrition.
Keep in mind that a 10 game SEC schedule is unprecedented. In that same 21 year period we have had a losing season in conference play once (2008, 3-5 vs. SEC) and a .500 season once (2014, 4-4 vs. SEC).
I’m not saying it’s all sunshine and rainbows, but I do think it’s fair to question whether things would look this bad in a non-COVID season. The effects of attrition and schematic changes are exacerbated by the fact that we went straight into conference games with no “tune-up” vs. rent-a-win teams. Say what you want about Mississippi State, they’re a lot more talented than UTSA. Even if we had lost to Texas, I suspect things would have looked at least a little different had we been 2-1, with an opportunity to ease younger players into a groove, prior to starting SEC play.
To be clear, I think there are a ton of problems contributing right now - attrition, poor coaching, a rough 2018 recruiting class, etc. - that lead to the current result when combined with a weird offseason and an all-SEC schedule. It’s a little silly to try to boil it down to one abstract like “lack of leadership” or “the team quit” IMO.

What made Urban leave the SEC? Sabanitis?

Well said thank you!
Urban has never had a team like 2019 LSU
In 2016 OSU had 12 players drafted. In 2017 they went 12-2.

This LSU team would look different with a returning QB that was a heisman finalist, too

He was spot on. I think LSU has a case of all 3

Kyle Trask can't run
Hell, he couldn't even start at his high school or in front of Felipe Franks
