Instead of paint a whole new covering of the roof. Every time I drive over the bridge I wish there was something ontop of the dome

Why not use this to opportunity to sell marketing rights to raise revenues and offset cuts to the university?

That looks a lot bigger than I was picturing. Though, I think it would be perfect if it was just a tad smaller

The contractor is somewhat correct. The surface of the roofing material up there does not allow it to be painted on. They would need to get a whole new roof and then use special paints to paint the eye of the tiger. Cool idea, but just cost too much.

You could do it like they do the yellow first down line. CGI!

Thanks for posting Stout! The eye would look best from any angle from above. Whatever the cost would deliver a nice return. Can you imagine a top ten Basketball team playing under the eye? Would be awesome! The PMAC with the eye would be a nice patch on Basketball war ups.

It would not look cool at all and it would be completely pointless to have it there

Maybe instead of paining it on the roof, they could get a large material one and strap it down very tight. It would probably be the most cost effective because most of the work could be done in a factory rather than on top of a building.

I thought this was going to be another dumb idea thread, but that actually looks pretty sweet.

We should get Vandalay Industries to put it up after they finish the purple turf... But really that would look pretty sick

If paint is not an option, Could you accomplish this similar to how the tiger Lamborghini was striped?
