Mathieu got beat on a handful of pass plays in LSU's BCS title game loss to Alabama, and since then a perception has emerged that he can't cover. If he stays at LSU it would be foolish not to give him a redshirt if that is possible. I know he would probably go pro after playin one more year but why not redshirt him and keep the possibility of playing two years open. Injuries are always possible, you never know what could happen.

could he have a Med-rshirt for rehab?? Seems legit to me.

So if a redshirt isn't given since he's not on the team would he still be eligible for two more years?

Wow. Not sure how this would work, but I do think it shows some maturity and willingness to set things straight on his part.

Let's see what Miles does. He said nothing about a one year suspension. Said there was no chance of him coming back. This will be interesting to see if CLM goes back on his public word or makes TM look foolish.

Dunno. I dont know if TM7 could get a redshirt for rehab reasons. I think it might need to be looked into. IF so then yeah he should have 2 left
