we play a ton of players on our defense and i bet chavis could find a spot for all of them.
if les was to let hb7 back then im sure it would be an all out battle in the spring and he wouldn't be handed his spot back.
this is still a rumor and even if les and lsu agreed to let him back he still has to prove he can stay off drugs.

if this is true, then it says a lot about his relationships with his teammates, coaches, and the school.
It would be easier to transfer down to a smaller school, play right away and then enter the NFL draft... and I wouldn't blame him at all if he took that route.
But if he makes that commitment to clean up, sit out a year, and play again for LSU, more power to him, and I would have the utmost respect for the tougher road travelled and his place in LSU football history.

If it was a possibility that he could sit out a year would they have not offered it to him as an option?
I am just guessing but I think they told him he was suspended for a year and pride got the best of Mathieu. He was probably mad and said f-that I will just transfer. Now that he has had time to think about it and/or seen what type of facilities these FCS schools have he has come to his senses.

Verne is going to shite his pants the first game that he announces that Mathieu plays in 2013

joe alleva shouldn't be saying shite considering the lives he wrecked while at duke.

Are you mad or something? Why are you so worried?

Let him sit out a year.
Hopefully that turns into half a season

they probably did..however, TM7 wanted to play this yer and enter the draft next year......
Sounds like he may be rethinking his decision to transfer

he just wants to use best of the facilities. when the pro day comes he'll participate and bolt for NFL. that way he gets to practice with the best, get the best exposure from nfl scouts and use the great facility we have. no way he sticks around for a year doing nothing. his mind will change when the agents come running around.

what if martin, eugene, collins, and mills all play great this year and establish themselves as the bright future of DBU.
Should Miles bench one for TMmaybe7 to come back?
That's just it, future... TM has already established himself... Quite nicely at that.

I couldn't imagine the first time he suits up for McNeese, and it hits him "I was just playing for LSU...........and a Heisman finalist". Ego or no ego, that would be tough to do.

after what hb did to uga last year i can't blame him for it.
Posted on 8/13/12 at 10:29 am to sunnydaze
Let the kid back if he can fufill the requirements.
Posted on 8/13/12 at 10:29 am to The Egg
Coming back, cleaning up, and sitting out for a year to earn his spot back is a lot harder than enrolling at McNeese, instantly becoming their best player, and dominating.

LSU is my favorite team in the west. I, like many UGA fans, knew we were in for a long night.
