Is this related to the Ika signing and related speculation he gets immediate playing time? Or is Ika projected at NT?

Just wait til you see the DL depth for the Spring.

You will long for the days of Trindon Holliday

Giles gone in May

I highly doubt this. As much as we tried and kept trying to put him in a spot to succeed. He'll have that same opportunity next year. Just may not try for 3/4 of the season like we did this year.

VolTiger said we can expect him to not be on the team come May. I agree with him there.

I think this portal deal is a real pandoras box.

It's basically making it easier for kids to shop themselves around.

Sign of the times I guess.

Damn. This certainly doesn't help with DL depth.

2019 d-line depth will be strong. 2020 is where we could see a lot of true freshman play, and be low on depth.

Can't blame the kid for wanting to follow Ishmael to Bama.

He's in prime position to start in 2020 and get plenty of PT next year.

This feels very foolish, but who knows what is going on behind the scenes.

He's supposed to graduate in May. I highly doubt he's going to stick around. He's going to want to go somewhere as a grad transfer where he can try to put some better tape together than what he showed here. Look for him to go back to the Big XII or AAC/CUSA.

If he stays here, he knows he's going to get less of an opportunity than he had last year and I'm sure he's not very pleased with his production here. I don't know if he was hurt or what, but he's simply not fast or quick enough for the SEC.

He’s in position for a starting job next year.

Uh, no. He has the following people in front of him for two positions:

Rashard Lawrence
Breidon Fehoko
Glen Logan
Neil Farrell

And then he would have to beat out Nelson Jenkins.
