If this occurred after he was dismissed he isn't breaking any rules.........he has a right to do what he wants.

meh. The NCAA, unfortunately, has a lot of leeway on stuff like this to do what they want. If they see he was using his college football success to promote things, that could affect his future in college football. Doubtful, imo, because this is not an unusual occurrence (promoting local club parties). It is not to just be brushed off completely as a non-issue, though.

The assertion is that he broke these roles after 1/9/12 but before he was dismissed from the team in August. So... yeah, probably some sort of violation.

Read the story. Not really doom and gloom. Just presenting information that could provide further insight as to what Mathieu was up to and some impediments to future eligibility.

I would imagine that since LSU had zero knowledge of it they could do their own investigation now, self-report, and avoid any serious sort of probation. Of course, the compliance experts on here could probably provide a better overview of potential consequences.

just read. I hate to see the Freak's name being brought up in this mess. hopefully they were just using his name and he didn't wilfully sign on to promote that Era nation crap. otherwise he could be looking at missing time.

I heard the last part of the Dan Patrick show,not the first of it. I heard him say "with the pros running 5 receivers ,there's a need for plenty of defensive backs in the NFL. Need someone to cover Tight Ends." Said Miles and TM7 would be on tommorrow Wed.. I'll watch it and report,I'll be at home.. I have read that TM7's girlfriend is pregnant and expecting in January , but they did not memtion it in the part I heard. I took it as he was going pro, but ,I heard only the last part of the show. He did say he thought TM7 could get drafted.
