I'm more impressed that they looked that crisp and focused against a shitty opponent after a rain delay. The last 3 years they would have been sleep walking out there. This team is hungry and out for blood.... Prepare your anus

Honestly we could have played Southern and I would still say that it's markedly improved from last year.

Yep.

It looks better
it's statistically better
our D isn't playing +70 snaps a game
the guys are clicking and playing as a unit

Until we do it against a good SEC team
I'm gonna be cautiously optimistic. Last week Troy's QB went 30-32 vs UAB. Set or tied a NCAA record.

I Understand your thinking, but there is a lot to be reasonably confident about. Last year mett shredded the best defense in college football with strudrawa calling the plays, and little to no QB coaching. He clearly has been coached up by Cameron, les trust can to call the plays, the offense has been altered and become diverse. Last year we struggled against teams like UAB offensively, then we struggled with the same problems in sec play until late in the season. This year we beat a very good defense starting out the gate, and came back with a consistent performance against UAB. Also the SEC defenses, with exception to LSU, Florida, and Bama have not looked very good. Talented but not good(UGA, s. carolina, etc.)

The difference is that for once in our damn lives the offense didn't play down to the competition.

There's only like 2 good SEC teams so I guess for the next 2 months, you guys will be holding your breath, waiting for stuff to go wrong and writing "we're really not that good" threads.

Not being negative. Like I said, cautiously optimistic. To say that it doesn't matter who the opponent is if we execute like we did against UAB is retarded. Conference USA doesn't equate to SEC caliber players.

Well we played a pretty good TCU D before UAB and we were still seeing this much improved execution. We'll play Bama but I don't see any other defenses in the SEC better than TCU's.

When Jeremy Hill shows up full time how would you prepare for this offense? He is simply on another level than Blue. This offense will be hitting on all cylinders by Auburn.

It's not about who we play. It's about throwing it on target, enroute, and threading the zone. The defending players may make it tighter, but as we saw against Alabama last year, Mett can play up.

So yes, this is a marked improvement over last year because it isn't just one play here or there. It is CONSISTENT.

He was 12 of 19 or something last night and three were catchable. So, we are really improved. Now can we get it to anyone beyond the top 2? Because Beckham will be double teamed from here on out.

If i was nicky i would be shitting my crimson drawers. The offense looks crisp and smooth. The defense looks young and hungry. Anyone who cannot see we are heading in right direction is blind.

we could have passed on them all night too and probably would have been knocking on a century. what good would that have done. we didn't even score in the fourth qtr. BUT, we played a bunch of new guys and started our "experiements" in the 2nd quarter. our #2 qb finally got some reps and will get more as the year progresses. and we still have one more practice game before the SEC starts. imo, LSU will not be a dominating force in the conference but we will win 10 or more games. with the schedule we have that is frickin' unbelievable considering our losses. imagine what this team would be with minter and a coupla of our DL guys that went early to the draft.
