LOL, so you don't believe in redemption. Kiffin has admitted the mistakes he has made in his life and completely changed his life around while in Oxford.

And don't give me the BS about Kiffin leaving Ole Miss during the playoffs as he would have left for UF if they had won him over instead of LSU. And your coach, who I love by the way, did the exact same thing except Tulane let him stay since he wasn't going to a conference rival.

No one has pledged $100 million dollars just yet and nothing is set in stone. LSU is looking to invest in a successful portfolio of which most have had very substantial returns over the last 15 years. This would be in lieu of just having the money put into the bank in regular savings or CD's. It would be stupid to not look into things of this nature with the incredible increasing cost of running athletic programs, especially since they now have to pay all of the athletes combined at least $21 million per year and with coaching salaries going up in all sports if you want to remain competitive.

So let's say LSU gets $100 million put into an investment account and did get a group of donors to invest $100 million with the idea that the donors would get 9% of the return and the fund goes up a moderate 10% the first year then LSU would pay out $900,000 and reap a $9,100,000 profit. If no money is paid out nor collected that first year than the fund would likely rise to $121 million the following year. Following this year LSU would have to payout about $1.9 million and would show a profit of over $19 million.

I don't see how this would be a bad idea. Together all of these big donors might have given LSU more than $100 million in the past few years. This could help offset the need to ask for quite as much. And that isn't taking into account LSU putting any of their own funds which might also be a possibility.

tOSU has won their fare share of recruiting battles with higher pay that's for sure. It's actually nice to see them lose one for a change :scared:

Chambliss is an exceptional QB no doubt. He was an exceptional dual threat who was actually a little better as a runner his last year at Ferris St. No doubt he had all of the qualities to be successful but of course wasn't a known quantity yet as far as playing in the SEC. That is why Simmons started in the beginning. He completed 61% of his passes at Ferris St and averaged 195 yards per game, he rushed for 196 yards per game, stats that almost seemed like those from back in time.

He proved how talented he was and that is why Kiffin signed off on bringing him in. However he was put into a system that took way more advantage of his passing skills and and also gave him much better options and easier decisions in Kiffin's offense. Chambliss threw for almost 4000 yards during the regular season and completed over 66% of his passes and ran for only 44 yards per game.

Kiffin's main objective in designing offenses is to play to the QB's talent & Strength and to simplify the decision making process. So yes Kiffin didn't necessarily develop him but he did have a huge had in Chambliss' success.

Pokey might have won a championship if American social norms now present were the norm back then.

But last year's class didn't attempt to address our biggest question mark which was the offensive line. Moore was the only quality addition and we needed several. Also the edge rushers we brought in last year were ranked on potential only, not on any superior jobs they had done at previous schools. So yes I believe this class is much better overall even with bringing in an All American last year in Delane.

Holly has been around for a while but a few others preceded her including Pam Oliver who is still going strong.


Jill Arrington preceded Erin Andrew’s for SEC games and was quite the stunner. She is still very good looking in her 50’s.

Then the program would never get better, that’s a foolish idea. LSU has already been hurt by the lack of funds going to the MBB program the last several years, causing us to miss on several highly sought after players.

The lack of height worries me as well. Defensive rebounding could be the key to this team's success. We have enough playmakers on offense I think to score with anyone.

Well I watched this in slow motion several times and what you say and what actually happened are totally different. The RB stays on the left side as he is evidently supposed to do on that play and the slot receiver comes to his right near the line of scrimmage. Both are looking back at the QB but are well covered. If Klubnik throws to a spot LSU likely has an INT.
