Unsportsmanlike Conduct Penalty 4th quarter

We got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the 4th quarter during a timeout. I was in the stands (south end zone) and didn't see what happened. The players were on the field and trying to get the crowd up. Out of nowhere, the back judge (near us) threw the flag. It was never explained what exactly happened.

Yep. Greedy was double dog daring them to go for it, and the back judge had to remind him no fun is allowed.

It just suddenly “was” from the perspective of the tv audience. Announcers seemed as clueless as anybody, as to what happened.

Unless I'm missing something, this did not happen in the 4th quarter. I think it was in the 2nd that Greedy was giving it to Fat Puke

we didn't get an unsportsmanlike penalty in the 4th quarter. Ole Miss did. We got one at the end of the second quarter coming out of a timeout on Greedy for jawing at the Ole Miss bench

And it cost us 3 points. Luckily, due to Luke's vagina, they didn't try and punch it in and cut the lead even more. Love Greedy, but we had them punting to us with 1:00 left in the half and could've at least tried to get downfield and in field goal range there. DIdn't matter against OM in the end, but it will matter in the next five weeks.

That happened near the end of the 2nd quarter and Ole Miss got 3 points out of it. This team is really undisciplined.

Devin White body checked him the next play after the play was over. I think AJ Brown cooled it after that.
36 for Ole Miss is a douchebag. He hit Burrow at the end of his td run. Legal but not clean at all. then stood over him. while losing by 28 at that point.

Please forgive us fans in the stands on not having all the details. We did have 2 extra hours to tailgate. The OP was probably like a lot of us, just a wee bit drunk.

Greedy told Luke that he wasn't shite, his team wasn't shite and #1 was a cheap shot artist and hoped he would get his in due time.
That was apparently "Unsportsmanlike Conduct" - and negated our 3rd down stop (they were punting out of the timeout, but for that penalty).
(ETA: Yes, relatively late in the 1st half, not 4th quarter.)

My seats are on the northeast sideline. Saw the whole thing right in front of me. Happened towards the end of the second quarter after AJ Brown cracked Kary Vincent. Devin and Greedy we're jawing at the Ole Miss bench after a third down stop, telling them to go for it. Refs actually let it go on for a while. They walked over to Greedy and White and pretty much told them that's enough. White backed off, but Greedy didn't. Warned him one more time and then threw the flag. Was a fair call.

Maybe but Ole Miss had one coach just wearing Greedy out everything he was on that sideline. That dude never shut up. Some bald headed black dude.

We have the 6th fewest penalties in the conference so far this year with 31 in 5 games, 9 coming against Auburn. We're pretty middle of the road.

I was watching it as well. It went down pretty much how you said. At the point the ref stepped in 3 LSU players were facing the Ole Miss bench and waving their arms, perhaps to tell the crowd on the East side to stand up and get loud, but they were right in front of the Ole Miss bench. The ref stepped in and obviously told the LSU players to knock it off. Greedy then turned and faced the South endzone, which was away from the Ole Miss bench, and started waving his arms again. The ref immediately threw the flag.
I can see both sides of the argument on if it was warranted or not.
