Jordan Jefferson in the 2011 Cotton Bowl.
reg season: 12 starts, 4 TD passes
Cotton Bowl: 3 TD passes
still don't know how he didn't win offensive MVP

Rohan Davey vs. Alabama in 2002.
Yeah I know we had a good offense, but I would have NEVER expected an LSU QB to throw for 530 yards, espeically with a Saban-type coaching style.

Yeah I was actually pretty optimistic about our 2012 QB situation after that performance.
I was dead wrong.

Never expected someone like Andrew Hatch to start at QB for LSU and never expected it to get worse after he left, but it did.

Marcus Randall, while not consistently productive, had a couple of great games that really surprised me. Probably the most surprising, though, was when JR had assumed the starting role but played dreadfully against Florida. Randall - with a big assist from Joe Addai - rallied the Tigers to a come from behind victory.

Not one player but 1977 LSU basketball beats #1 Kentucky, in overtime, with all five starters fouled out.

Jordan Jefferson's whole career. I thought he was going to a top notch NCAA QB going into LSU as I watched probably 5 of his games on TV in his senior year. I finally gave up on him when the Shady bar incident happened. I realized then that he was just plain stupid - too stupid to be the QB of a top tier NCAA football team.

because Tolliver caught all 3 of those TD passes, tying the Cotton Bowl record
The answer to this thread is Matt Mauck in the 2001 SECCG. Easily

Dalton Hilliard's career. Gary James was the number 1 running back recruit and Hilliard was a little nobody from Patterson.
Nicky Hazzard's career. His older brother was a top lineman recruit and had an average career. Nicky was an average recruit but an outstanding linebacker.
