The two games vs Miami and MoOH were the two most miserable games all around I've ever been to. The other was 1993 vs Auburn, sat through a deluge to watch LSU get beat down 34-10!

Les Miles actually thinking that running the option would work on the 2nd time around against Bama in the natty, smh!!

Not running Jeremy Hill in the 4th quarter of the 2012 Peach Bowl to burn clock, followed by giving up a 4th and forever from Boyd, then loosing on a walk off FG.
I haven't gotten through the whole thread, but this game was pretty frustrating. May have started Clemson's rise as well.

Danny Etling was an underwhelming quarterback any way you look at it.

2005 Capital One Bowl LSU vs IOWA... a 56 yard pass completion as time expired... IOWA-30 LSU-25....

Yes, that AU game was so bad that I even listened to Finebaum for the first time, b/c he did a phone interview with a retired Big 10 official who had 25 years experience as a guest.
The official said after reviewing the game that he did not watch live, it was the best example he could give of a game where the officials should be investigated.

The bliss we experienced though after the Clemson beatdown finally erased that horrible memory from my head.
Leaving the dome in 2012 and seeing the "red" lights always stuck with me. Seeing the purple and gold after 2020 was magical.

I was at Auburn in 2006. How the frick did they miss that PI call? What made it worse was that they threw the flag, called the penalty, announced it to the crowd, then the refs discussed it some more, then waived off the flag. What in the actual frick.

That PI call doesn’t even bug me much. I guess bc that pass wasn’t going to be completed regardless. That last play sort of obscures the half dozen or so prior ridiculous calls and no-call that all went against LSU that day. I know LSU fans whine about officiating. But 2006 Auburn it’s warranted. That game was rigged.

One crazy play that doesn’t get mentioned bc LSU won, was against Tenn in 2006. In a year of wacky officiating, this one call might be the worst. I don’t recall the point of game it happened but I think it was late. Tennessee is set to receive a punt. The returner touched the ball and LSU recovers deep in Tenn territory. On replay, the ball actually changed trajectory in mid air from being touched by the Tenn receiver. The SEC refs told physics to get fricked and ruled that a ball can change trajectory in mid air without being touched. Gave the ball to Tenn.

Yes, 2006 at Auburn is an obvious one.
What about 2009 at Ole Miss? Miles told JJ to spike the ball with one second left, lol moron

On that punt, I recall the ref saying something like,”the ball wasn’t touched enough by the receiving team”. Wtf, enough?

Actually underrated and not mentioned nearly enough: Xavier Carter catching a kickoff and kneeling on the 1 in Athens in 2004. We were completely and thoroughly whipped in that game, but that play made it worse.

Florida in 2018 had me mad as hell

Yes! Glad I’m not the only who remembers that crazy play.
2006 was some crazy officiating.

Alabama 1999.
I was in Tuscaloosa with some high school buddies that went to Alabama. LSU was shitty, really shitty. I believe we were 1-7 at the time. The game was in November and right before we lost to Houston. On the other hand, Alabama was really good that year - that was the Sean Alexander team that lost to Brady and Michigan in the Orange Bowl.
Anyways, our defense played very well that game and was down by 6. LSU drives 80 or so yards and has the ball 1st and goal on Alabama's goalline with like 20 seconds left. Josh Booty decides to be the hero and runs a bootleg and is stopped on the goal line. Keep in mind, we had the ball on the goal line and it was first down. He could have easily thrown it away to stop the clock, and LSU would have had the ball on second down with 15 seconds or so to go. Nope. He tries to "Willie Mays Hays" it and leaps over the Alabama defenders - and we don't get another snap off...
