re: UGA fired Richt despite a better record than Les. Did the leak ruin it?

Did you not see his press conference? Basically said a big frick YOU to Alleva. He knew exactly what he was doing acting all sentimental during the game.
Carried off the field after a 8-3 win over a meaningless team in yet AGAIN a meaningless November game? Sounds legit.

I don't think so. I don't think the backlash helped but I think the leak came from our loudmouth office. I think they had support with the buyout IF we had a certain guy, we didn't, so they decided to keep Miles another year. Definitely gone if no SEC championship.

Obviously he and the players thought he was gone

Is ESPN going to put UGA on blast? Oh that's right. UGA doesn't give a single frick.
THat and Richt didn't leak it like fricking Miles did to get sympathy. Richt took responsibility like a man. Miles did not. Hell, he pretty much said nothing is wrong last night.

LSU just decided that 7 and 8 win seasons with the occasional 9 or 10 win season is a-okay.
Or a few ego-driven multi-millionaires got duped by a master con-man (Sexton) and it backfired in their face. This is Auburn's plane-gate all over again.

Miles was doing that to have complete control.
Scenario:
Alleva: Les, please get a new OC and ST coach.
Miles: WHat are you gonnna do now? Fire me. GFY. Nothing is broken. I am always right.

There's no way you have behind the scenes negotiations with a coach under contract during the season and have no one know about it so it leaks to the media.
I will not even go far enough to believe FSU even gave LSU permission to speak with Fisher.

Richt has had worse seasons than Les in a weak SEC East. I'm surprised he lasted this long
Don't let facts get in the way of shitting on Miles.

None of what you are saying makes sense as to what happened
Posted on 11/29/15 at 11:53 am to Moustache
Richt sucks in th weak SEC east. With how horrible the east is, anything less than winning it every year is unacceptable with UGA talent and the talent difference compared to other east teams. If LSU was in the east and miles couldn't win it every year, he would be gone

Exactly! Why is this never brought up?
Les fricked us 3 times into giving him a raise. He was bluffing only two of those times.
We should've told him to go to Arkansas if that's what he wanted. IT would've made it easier to fire him now.
fricker duped us bad. Really bad. Richt has WAY more integrity than to do that.

Did Les Miles purposefully leak this and put on the ESPN hit piece?
Posted on 11/29/15 at 11:53 am to Moustache
Can confirm this by a source close to the UGA program who is a good personal friend. Source is asst AD at UGA, I was told this when we played golf last week.

Richt was 1 play away from winning a NC in 2012. THat's more recent than Miles.

Enjoy your Mack Brown melt down next year.

Les set this up to make it impossible to fire him. Yet, Richt on the other hand stayed quiet and accepted responsibility like a true good man. UGA still had the balls to fire him.
Why can't we have the balls to fire Les? We are the new UGA of the west (best case scenario) or UT Austin (most likely scenario).

Yep. It's that simple IMO. People need to accept and get over it.

Looking at things, yes Les absolutely sabotaged his dismissal. The "leak" was his doing. Les completely and utterly outmanuevered Joe Alleva, who is now feeling like all those great coaches that Les has blindsided over the last 11 years.
The biggest, and I mean the BIGGEST error that LSU made was making a decision on this last night, DURING THE GAME no doubt. Boneheaded. They should have let things play out and then made a rational decision on Monday or Tuesday of next week. They let emotions rule the day and that will be their biggest mistake.
