I advise all who are curious about this to go look at the ticket exchange and stub hub. Lots of season ticket holders have been dumping tickets. They don’t care who is buying them when they are getting $250 to $300 a ticket.

Yeah. I know that. What's that got to do with the fact that LSU fans sold their tickets (purchased from LSU) to Gumps?
I was in one of the LSU sections (tickets came from LSU) and there were a ton of Gumps in with us. The only way they could've gotten their hands on those tickets was to buy them from an LSU season ticket holder.

LSU allots them 6K tickets,
Are you sure about that? The sec requires a certain amount given to visitors and I've never heard of one that low, I could have sworn it'd be closer to the 8-10 range.

That number came from the article that was linked at the beginning of the thread. I thought the usual number of tickets given to visitors was 7K, but I could be mistaken. Up until a few years ago, most of those seats were in the lower bowl. Thankfully, LSU moved all but about 2K to the east upper deck.

Stub Hub only has around 1740 tickets available at the moment.

All things being equal, it should be easier for LSU fans to outnumber Alabama in our own state. The money you save on hotel and travel can go towards the ticket price. That didn't happen, though. When I was leaving the stadium that night, I remember realizing why Alabama has the edge over most other programs. It just means that much more to their fanbase.

Delta is flying 7 or 8 MD80s from atl to btr that Friday, much bigger planes than they typically use.
LSU fans can't let uga takeover. This needs to be like 2003 again.

I can't see them "taking over" Tiger Stadium because LSU fans are slightly different in the noise department from ND. Also, we have a 102,000 seat stadium and there will still be a ton of LSU fans regardless. But I would like if they did bring more fans than anyone else has brought because I think it will energize what will be an already pumped up crowd and make for an environment like Tiger Stadium of old.

It is embarassing, inexplicable and frankly bizare. And going with that same mind set I would not be surprised to see an inordinant amount of UGA fans there. It could be the largest group of visiting fans ever in TS. Our 'fans' will sell out actually and figuratively.
Whether we're up by seven, down by three, up by 21, or down by 21, I'm convinced that the stadium will clear out as usual against Georgia

They poison trees and kill people when they lose. I have a buddy who lives in Huntsville (UGA fan) who swears that, for so many Gumps, seemingly their whole life's worth is defined by how well the football team is doing. That's actually sad and pathetic when you think about it.

God help us if we lose to Florida. Our "fans" will unload tickets to the UGA folks left and right.

Half of the Superdome was Gump fans. It should've been like an LSU home game. Some people actually came on here and bragged about selling their ticket to some stupid Gump for 3X the face value.
In retrospect, I wish I would have sold mine for 3× the face value, profited and watched that nightmare on TV.

Are you the kind of person that thinks if something's special to you, it must be special to the whole world?
BTW, that Cabbage Patch Kid you've been holding on to for so long?
Yeah, not so much.

Do you travel the SEC much? Because when I do and LSU is winning late all the stadiums start clearing.
Recently Alabama was trying to keep track of students leaving early so they would could move them down the ticket waiting list.

Bama's RB posted a pic of the empty stands this weekend against ULL and I was shocked at how empty the place was. I actually never thought I'd see Bama have that issue.

Georgia fans are trying to replicate last year’s South Bend Takeover at Notre Dame with another massive Red & Black Migration. And according to at least one interested party, they might just do it.
If this were to happen, that would be more disappointing than actually losing the game. In all my years of following the Tigers, I never thought this was even within the realm of possibility... especially since we're in the middle of a great season.
But after the half-arse, excuse-ridden effort I've seen from our home "fans" this season, it wouldn't surprise me.

Did it look like this...?
Few noticed, at least in the stadium. Nearly all of the fans were long gone before the Cajuns scored two touchdowns against the Crimson Tide reserves and Rammer Jammer was played in celebration. It echoed off the empty seats.
