Recruiting rankings had nothing to do with it. Watch his tape from Warren Easton and tell me he isn't the real deal. Johnson will wind up being a hell of a slot receiver wherever he lands.

Extremely talented kid.

No one is denying that.

I'm surprised that his skills didn't translate. I think he just lacked the fundamentals to play in a pro-style offense.
What is this bullshite you are spitting?

Certainly seems that Jazz, Chark, Drake, and Dee were ahead at this point. Leaving him in contention with Dillon and Stephen Sullivan.

Guess he saw writing on the wall and decided to sit a year elsewhere instead of here. Prolly smart on his part.

Regardless of the bs that goes around, Miles knows what it takes to be successful. The kids like Landry that come in and do anything to help the team, eventually show case their talent on the way to a successful career in the NFL after LSU.

Wow. Didn't see this one coming at all. At least we're very deep at WR next year. Chark, Drake Davis, Dee Anderson, Stephen Sullivan and Jazz Ferguson. Not to mention Jhamon Ausbon and Mannie Netherly. We'll be alright. Wanted him, didn't need him.

People coming out of nowhere saying the kid wasnt that good.
I wouldnt judge any of our WRs with the way our QB played last year.

If I recall, he was the one WR who didn't play at all in the bowl game. Even guys like Quinn and Diarse, who were thought to already be transferring, and he had been playing over both.....played in the bowl game over him. Whatever happened with this kid started in bowl practice I think. There might be issue with him but it didn't stop him from seeing the field all last year and then suddenly not in the bowl.

Lots of people said he was OBJ 2.0.
I only disliked the fact that he was more a east/west than north/south runner.

"He wanted to go to a more wide open offense," Tyrone Johnson said in an interview with The Advocate on Thursday afternoon. "That was the only reason why."

LSU has blocked Tyron Johnson from transferring to another Southeastern Conference team, but the receiver could play at a junior college this fall and then re-enter the SEC, his father said. He is expected to make a decision on a school in "the next week," Tyrone said.

I assume this solves our problem of getting under 85 scholarship players?

not shocked. glad he picked us initially, but if he's not willing to work and do the little things- GTFO. wish him luck in future endeavors. when any thread or report talks about the depth chart, #3 wr always seemed to be kinda fuzzy anyway. it always seemed to be a constant mix of chark, Anderson and tyron.

Sometimes it just doesn't work out. He is not the first and he won't be the last.

by more wide open, he means an offense that uses 7 WRs because that's what it would have taken for him to get on the field....

There are literally thousands of athletes that tore shite up in highschool. Its means nothing at the next level. The next level youre facing people just as talented as you are. What seperates them in cfb and the nfl is preperation.
