August 2 a days can make you quit. I have done it. That being said, he just delayed his next August by a year. Can he stand it next year? He just delayed the torture of August, knowing that someone will give him a full ride next year.

I'm going with what he said plus lack of work ethic. Wants to go to a more wide open offense. Makes sense as far as wanting bigger stats as Doral and Malachi will be getting most of the receptions. I think at a school that isn't as stacked at running back he could be a possible 1k+ yard receiver. I think still a silly move. With Dameyune Craig coming in he is missing out on a huge opportunity there. As well as the fact that we have put plenty of sub 1,000 yard receivers in the league, some going relatively early. I think if you have your eyes set on the NFL this move hurts you as being successful here pretty much guarantees good draft stock. I just think he wasn't willing to really earn a starting spot in and put in the work necessary to do so. And in my opinion the kid slacked off in the weight room and with as much respect Moffitt has from the rest of the staff that is never a good thing.

Interesting.... Grades or competition?
Timing screams getting outperformed in fall camp.

Good move for him as much as I hate it. We are a 8-10 completions a game offense. Not going to get any looks unless you are #1 WR or #2 somewhat. A #3 WR in this offense is like a WR #6 for any other team.
And yet NFL rosters are loaded with LSU wide receivers, even James Wright, who hardly sniffed the field at LSU.

This. It's his last chance to get out and be eligible next year. This has at least something to do with playing time.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him go Juco since he won't play this season anyway and he could stay closer to home.
