He was a perfect fit in that era when we had so many great athletes on D. Obviously an awesome talent elevated by his teammates.

Sort of like a generational talent like Burrow who was elevated by Chase & Jefferson.

He definitely did some things routinely I’ve never seen anybody else do that would greatly impact the game.

And for a DB to impact games as much as he did at that level as a young player. It’s definitely not crazy to say he’s the GOAT, despite the small body of work in terms of years

Tyrann did not play safety. Also Harold was picked on in pass coverage and totally mitigated his pass rush by forcing him into it. so moving him to an actual DB position is the opposite of what we need.

He was certainly the most dynamic in my lifetime so far.

When he was a frosh and esp when he was a sophomore, the excitement that something big was going to happen was the greatest I've ever witnessed. The closest I could say anything that even came close to watching what tm7 would do on the regular was getting excited about Skenes on a Friday night.

Tm7 is likely the most exciting student athlete to ever play in any sport at LSU since the doors opened. At any time he, on the regular, would "electrify" the whole stadium.

Barry Sanders rushed for over 2,600 yd in 11 games I think that's probably the greatest college football player ever. Counting his bowl game he was over 2,800 yards they didn't count it.

This

Barry was an all time pro. By far the best back that I’ve seen considering the team. Juice, Jim, Walter and Dickerson would be my top 5. Smith was an excellent back but he played for an all time team with a great Oline.

God given physical ability and the above is what made the HB such a great player.

Love TM. Butt Cannon was the size of linemen and ran with the speed of light...And return a couple of punts for a TD or twice....

As for Cassanova missing half a season, he was first team All American for 3 seasons. And 3 TD's for punt returns / kickoffs in one game has never been matched. As for not playing against blacks, he was an All Pro in the NFL...which had black players. Athletes who have such a super talent are just studs. Or are you saying Billy Cannon was a lesser player because he didn't play against blacks?

The 2012 team was really good, imagine if it had TM7. One of the big what-ifs of LSU football history.
