True, and he would have won it in 2012 too.

Idk about 2011, but I’d argue that if he played the 2012 season & had the same production he may have pulled it off. That was the year Manti fricking Teo of all people was being hyped as a Heisman candidate.

True

one of the best single seasons i have ever seen.

Up there with Cam Newton 2010

Tyrann finishing 5th completely makes the award a joke, and Te'o finishing higher the next year is laughable.

I’d like to think he wins it if he doesn’t smoke and get suspended before the AU game. That being said, Jameis had worse off the field issues two years later so I don’t know.

You think winning the heisman would all off the sudden make him not want to smoke anymore?

You serious?

Read it again.
He said IF he didn't smoke and get suspended for the AU game, he thinks he would've won it

Correct I said if he doesn’t smoke and plays against Auburn he wins the Heisman. Ron Brooks was an absolute beast playing in Tyrann’s spot that day though.

I agree. He robbed himself of the Heisman when he got himself suspended.

The Heisman has an obvious bias towards certain positions and that’s not even debatable. He was the best player in college football that year by far.

Yet A guy that raped a woman, stole crab legs, and stood on a table in the student union yelling “Frick her rt in the pusssy” won one of those.....

The Heisman has become a joke

I mean absolutely.

He was the best.

The missed game didn't help, but still so hard for a defensive player to win it.

Only LSU Jersey I own with a name on the back. Matthieu #7. Best I’ve ever seen, and if he’d played at Norte Dame, Michigan, Ohio State or Alabama he would have won it. If you compare Desmond Howard or Charles Woodson to Tyrann’s years when Howard & Woodson won the award it’s not close.

ESPN/ABC bias, since Rose Bowl w/Michigan was on their network, costs Peyton Manning the Heisman Trophy. I think that fueled Peyton for a lot of years to show the football world that they were wrong.

Tyrann was not only the best "Football Player" that year he was the best I have ever seen at LSU.

It was remarkable how many big plays he made.

Was at the WVU game.

Wearing P&G in the expensive seats, drunk and talking smack.

Luckily TM7 bailed everybody’s asses out.

He was straight fiya that year.

Idk about 2011

Actually it's a no-brainer.
He had a TD in the opener vs a Top 5 Oregon team which was a game changer.
He had two key plays against a ranked West Virginia team.
He had a score vs Kentucky.
He had the momentum changing punt return plus additional takeaways vs a #3 Arkansas team and then did the same thing the following week in the SECCG.
He was the key player on the consensus regular season # 1 team in the country,.
That is Heisman worthy.
RGIII put up video game numbers against weak Big 12 competition.

That’s one of my favorite gifs. We had some dogs on that team that weren’t afraid of anyone.
