Number 1 tyrann matheiu was one of the most beloved lsu players of all time before immediately after and to this day. He was not treated like shite.
He was so addicted to your “non addictive plant” that he knew he was throwing away the opportunity of a lifetime and couldn’t stop.
He knew the consequences of his own actions. LSU just handed them out.
Number 2.
a substance that is so addictive that he knowingly sacrificed his future to keep smoking it doesn’t sound less harmful than a legal substance that would not result in him immediately jeopardizing his and his family’s livelihood.

That's the textbook definition of being addicted. I think that they have been so high for so long that it has made them completely stupid. It would take months for all of that THC to clear out and they could return to normal thinking. Today though they scream like a baby who had his pacifier taken if you even question why they use it.

I’d love to know what PP7 told him to get him back on track.

I would imagine he strapped an arse kicking machine to his arse but in reality the onus was on TM7 to want to change bad enough to make it happen, kudos to both of those young men

I don’t think it’s physically addictive, but some people have addictive personalities. For those people, it could be weed, alcohol, food, etc and it will at least be psychologically addictive. If you are willing to drink bleach so you don’t have to stop something, that’s a sign you have some type of dependence on it.

Can’t wait for the “derp it wuz agaist ta rulez tho” responses.
you are aware that we've had players suspended or kicked off the team for all sorts of other reasons through the years too, right?
Jesus Christ, we had a QB miss time due to suspensions for a counterfeit $20 bill and using a fake ID.
we had another QB miss half a season for a fricking bar fight.
you think me or anyone else actually gives a flying shite about those charges either?
frick no, I don't.
but I don't get to make the rules.
all I ask is that players don't be so egregiously over the top in breaking them that the coach has no choice but to suspend them first, then ultimately boot them for not knocking it off.

that's the phrase people use when justifying it not being "addictive"

just like any other vice people have.
drugs, alcohol, gambling, porn, overeating, sunflower seeds, you name it.
People get hooked on shite and develop a habit they can't break and go through extreme lengths to continue the habit.
if you can't make yourself stop, you're addicted.

This!
I’d much rather be in the road with someone who’s smoked a couple blunts then drank a 12 pack
All day every day

Seems no one ever fails a drug test or flunk out
My buddy at worked mentioned that a couple months ago - that we never hear about academic issues any more.
Good ole college football - just another pro league now. Very sad.

Hey dipshit, when you put something in quotes you may try to include something that was actually said. There’s no way half of you aren’t on welfare. There’s just no possible way a lot of you are able to work jobs and care for yourselves. You’re just that dumb

Correct, for most of this board it’s booze, cheeseburgers, and eventually ozempic

At least this is a reasonable response and I take your point
