Edit with updated info......

Tyler's father just posted that Tyler just received the clearance needed for him to report to LSU. Unfortunately, He will have to take an academic redshirt and be eligible to play next year.

I doubt he'll be in shape to play early in the year. I wouldn't mind seeing him redshirt.

Better late than never. If he can get a few good practices in and a few snaps against BYU (probably unlikely), I would call that a win.

D-line might be special at some point this year if it clicks and they stay healthy

I wouldn't expect him to contribute against BYU or anyone else early in the season given his late arrival and questions about fitness (hope I'm wrong). But having that depth later in the season especially if there are injuries is going to be huge. How coach Jenkins gets some quality time with the kid.

He's lost a lot of weight since graduating. I thought he was actually in BETTER shape.

No matter the shape he's in at the moment, we literally have only 2 people that play his position. Anything he can give us---even if it's just 2-3 plays a game at 1st, will be worth it. He's not sniffing a redshirt if he's actually eligible.
