Tyler Shelvin opting out by The Hurricane
My only question is why are they waiting until now to do so after already getting this far into camp.

Who are the people convincing these players to opt out? I am about finished with LSU football.

My guess is that this is an extremely difficult decision. That they have been battling with in their own heads and with family. This is really the end of the line to make that choice and still provide time for the team to prepare.
I do not envy these guys and the struggle to decide what is right for them right now.

I don’t care how many go. Perhaps it will be fun to see players that are still hungry and ready to play for a great university. Take the money and run!!

I dont know what the frick is going on with all these guys leaving. but I say thank you for last year. but, for pussing out on this year.

I lost respect for JC on how he handled this waiting so long to opt out. TS,yeah hes good and may be missed. but that sob was probably gonna weigh as much as my pickup does.

If any more of y'all plan to leave, get the lead out and dont let the door hit ya in tha arse on the way out. we dont want or need ya.

Id rather have young men who want to be here playing.

Actually, if he works out as he should and shows well at the combine, he will be fine.

The issue is down time and idle hands are the Devils pizza shop.

In response to having nothing to play for off 15-0 NC. True competitors are never satisfied.

I’d honestly be okay with canceling the season.

Agree 100%.

Two weeks ago I was ready for the season to start. Now? Just cancel it.

Shelvin probably won't even be the last to opt out. It's just absurd watching so many of our guys opt out while Alabama has 5 first rounders all wanting to play.

Does anyone really see this guy staying in shape without the discipline of a team and coaches? He will literally roll into the pro tryouts and will be lucky to be drafted at all. He will end up in debt to his agent and have nothing to show for his football career.

I'm sure they players leaving won't be able to sleep at night knowing you are upset. Get over yourself. There are 183,000 dead Americans due to our government inept handling of this crisis. And you've got the nerve to be upset because players are more concerned with their health than entertaining you. Smdh

Yep. 183,000 Americans died from Covid-19 is overblown. You are a pathetic human being.
