This one isn't smart. His projections are just that projections. He will not be a 1st rounder without more tape. He cost himself millions. He be able to recoup in 3-4 years after his rookie contract if he stays in shape and plays well but it's a big risk to take. His choice so I'm not gonna bash him but this one definitely stinks of agent manipulation.

I haven’t read the entire thread but there was a rumor Ryan Clark got into Shelvin’s and Chase’s ...wouldn’t you know it, they opt out days later. Don’t beg to be hidden from the shitstorm you started Ryan, this is on you.

No way he would ever be the first DT taken.

I totally understand Chase, Shelvin is a head scratcher. He is going to be 430 lbs at the combine. He is too undisciplined to sit out an entire season. No way he goes top 2 rounds now.

NFL GMs are gonna love the team first guys that have opted out. The opt outs won’t get drafted as high as they are projected right now

Season probably isn’t going anyway. UA failing miserably at protecting students, schools starting to shut down. LINK

They knew this in the spring but kept it all on life support until the tuition dollars came in.

I hate that COVID 19 was mishandled from the very beginning. We'd be through the worst of it by now.

Shelvin has other issues I would bet.
Pelini probably getting on him about weight.
Maybe urine test didn’t look good.

Trust me. There has to be a back story because he is good but not elite.

Exactly. If the dems wouldve listened to trump when he put in travel bans, then it may not have gotten so bad.

Chase made a quality business decision, as much as I hate to say it.

Shelvin did not. I don’t see him ever reaching his full potential sadly. Weight management gonna be a struggle on his own.

Kinda late to be doing this, but I understand the business decision part, but should have been done earlier.

Now, at 370 he is a big fat tub of lard and Apu would be much more effective and the freshman from Alexandria just might be outworking his big arse and he is using last season to be a high pick, knowing he will be outplayed by the 2 I mentioned above and possibly another. With that said, don't let the door hit you, but it probably will hit your slow moving big arse. If that is the case then only a depth issue if that. Next man up!
