Yea this one doesn't make much sense at all

Wow. Brennan must be REALLY terrible if he's causing defenders to quit now too. Guess he saw his lack of touches this year.

By the time of the draft , Tyler Shelvin will weigh 625 lbs.

He’s making a bad decision just like so many other fricking guys before them. And it goes back to the pussification if America. It’s 100 percent gonna set a trend people will sit after their sophomore seasons until we unfortunately pay college athletes.

One team ... One Heartbeat, unless you admit you like Trump
Or show up to a fundraiser for Gov Edwards.
His comment on Trump didn’t seem to even convey any political view.
It was racist to disagree with Obama even if you showed respect or even the self proclaimed first black President and chief assaulter with a cigar - Clinton, and now it’s racist to not 100% hate the person who is current President. Between sentencing reform and jobs (before Wuhan) he did more for blacks than Obama ever did who just used them when needed for political cover. black lives matter Marxism started under Obama, and he let the false narrative happen to use the ignorance he expected from most blacks even as cops murdered. There was a reason before all of this Trump was increasing his support amongst blacks, and paraphrasing one independent thinking Democrat - Democratic Party can’t have blacks leaving their political plantation and thinking for themselves.
But as far as Shelvin he seemed to have trouble controlling his weight and played better at a lower weight. If he had already put some back on without playing this season he better have someone that he respects pushing him to get in better shape. Being constantly monitored by athletic department’s medical and training staff may have also been helpful due to Wuhan hitting hard on those with obesity (Maybe opt out still allows for staff health support, but it better also include making sure he is in class and doing everything he is supposed to be doing as a student to still get help from staff).

There is already more than 1 mock draft that has him as a 1st rounder. Some as the first DT taken.
He was a projected top 5 DT, but I could actually see him lose momentum because of other guys playing and increasing draft stock with good performances.
Now I say the exact opposite for Chase, anybody that thinks that guy loses draft stock to other WRs playing are just wishful thinking or idiots.

Yep. 183,000 Americans died from Covid-19 is overblown. You are a pathetic human being.
Why don't we shut down for flu every winter?
The amount of 100% Covid Only deaths is miniscule compared to population.

The writing is on the wall that at best this is a season full of exhibition games. No bowl games, no playoffs. These guys were expecting a normal season when they announced they were returning.
At this point, it’s just not worth it. Take the money fronted by the agents, help your family, and get ready for the draft.
It sucks, but COVID and the reaction to it ruined college athletics this year.
This.
All of this.

These guys are getting really bad advice. Shelvin will be 400 pounds by the draft.

Shelvin hasnt declared for the draft yet..Maybe he wasn't getting his weight down in time for this season and figured he might as well opt out before he loses his starting spot. He gained a bunch of weight while our off-season workouts were canceled. If he doesn't have his weight under control in time for the combine he could come back to campus and get a full off-season training program to get back down to playing weight and we ride for 2021.

Screw this damn China virus BS. It's screwing up my hopes for LSU Football. Can we bomb those scientists over there yet who are responsible for this crap?

The worse thing for Shelvin is to leave the LSU bubble because everytime he does he gains 40 pounds
Do you really think he's disciplined and motivated enough to control his weight until next April?
He won't last through training camp if he shows up at 380

It's going to be interesting to see how this particular situation works out for Tyler. One would think he would of improved his stock if he plays another year of college ball like it was mentioned earlier? Especially for one that has had weight issues in the past. Good luck to him in the future

!

The players are opting out and protesting, looks like i will be opting out of college sports as well!!
Posted on 9/1/20 at 8:23 am to lsutigers718
Wow, he is making a terrible decision. I'm sure you all remember his recruitment, ongoing weight problems, attitude, motivation, work ethic, etc. Unless he goes total "take care of his body" nutritionally and every other way, he won't land the big NFL $$$$$ at 370+ pounds. Don't get me wrong, somebody will draft him in the later rounds (4 - ?) regardless. If he gets his act together and weighs in at say 320 with his quickness, he'll blow the combine away. Unfortunately, he's never shown that dedication or work ethic thus far. Good luck to him.
