18 should have gone to Burrow and only Burrow. He is the most deserving and leader of the team!

Everyone commenting reminding me of my some of my colleagues at the office. Don’t read and then make comments that were already discussed in prior email.

I can love the picks and still be intrigued why it didn’t go to a senior.

It's probably gone to a non-senior more often than a senior. Hell, the tradition stated with a junior passing the number on to a freshman.

Nope. Voted on by past 18's and O...no current players.

Eta-apparently a lot of people ITT don't know that.

The whole 18 thing is overblown, but Chaisson? He hasn't done anything yet Great potential, no production.

If you want to award leadership and toughness, it's Lawrence.

I love the guys that got #18. However, I feel like the prestigious #18 tradition is watered down also. To me it's just another number at this point. Kind of like #8 in baseball

I don't care about 18. I don't care about 7. I don't care about 64 or 35. These silly traditions are just made up. 20, 21, 37 earned it. The rest are silly fabrications.

I’m not sure why everyone is making such a big deal over who gets the number. It doesn’t change anything for the fans besides the fact that you will see one player in a different number. I’m sure there’s good reason Lloyd and K’lavon were chosen.

Love that Chaisson got it. Was poised for a breakout year last year before got hurt. He's coming this year

That isn't what the award is about.

Seems people that actually know the players don't agree.

Im assuming that the team thinks that about Joe and Grant already

Why are you assuming that? All you’re doing is picking the two most visible players and spliting those numbers between them. That’s not what those numbers are about.

Number 7 is about the best playmaker. Grant Delpit is clearly that guy. Number 18 is about who the TEAM thinks exhibits the quality of hard work and leadership. How can anyone disagree? It’s a team vote.

Correct, plus I believe some others like Jack Marucci get a say.
It’s not a team vote.

I feel like it should go to 4 year guys. Nothing against Chaisson, but I feel bad for Lawrence and Divinity.

The first 2 guys that wore it, the 2 that won nattys wearing it, wore it longer than just their senior year.
