He worked his arse off to make them go his way. While not as easily accomplished as today, he could have transferred from LSU when his troubles began.

He didn’t. Because he ain’t no bitch.

Lol wtf are you talking about? I haven’t stated a position at all, outside of pointing out a logical fallacy that would preclude you from benefiting from rules you are opposed to.

I’m not the stupid one pal.

Like that pussy Joe B.?

Only 1 QB can play at a time. Whereas there can be up to 5 DBs on the field at once.

It’s similar, but not a fair comparison.

Nobody is forcing them to do anything.

They don’t get to play wherever they want anyway outside the top guys and like life, rules are always needed to ensure fair play and competition.. my feelings don’t play into this but obviously you are an emotional twat who prefers emotional anarchy as a decision process

Mixed feelings. I prefer no portal but there are cases where a player is basically stuck as a backup his entire career.

In those, it has its place.

I'm a big TM7 fan but he was not a guy who was going to go places in the transfer portal -- he was barely a three star coming out of high school, if that. And as others have said he played a bunch as a freshman, and shined in the top division in the country. If he had transferred it would have been a step down from where he was.

The transfer portal (which was supposed to help the players) is really a boon to the top programs and will keep them the top programs, same goes for the playoff expansion (which was a response to media pressure).

I am in favor of talented players transferring to LSU. I am not in talented players transferring out of LSU.

For anyone that is a fan of LSU to knock the transfer portal is ridiculous. Jayden Daniels led LSU to the SEC Championship Game and a win over Alabama. Angel Reese led LSU to a National Championship. Paul Skenes is the best pitcher on the #1 team in the country. We have probably benefited more than any other fanbase in the country.
These players mentioned here didn't exactly transfer because they weren't starting.

Oh, so you are in favor of the transfer portal? Or are you against it like I assumed?

That is true. However, people opposed to the transfer portal are certainly TRYING to force them to do something; they are trying to force them to either stay at their current school or sit out a year. Did you not know that?

That's totally irrelevant. No one has ever suggested all teams should be required to accept all players.

and like life, rules are always needed to ensure fair play and competition

Rules are also needed to ensure assholes like you don't just REEEEEEEE so much that college kids can't play sports where they want to.

quote:

.. my feelings don’t play into this but obviously you are an emotional twat who prefers emotional anarchy as a decision process

And yet the most common against the transfer portal anyone ever makes is that it makes the sport less fun to watch, which is a purely emotional argument. Since your argument isn't an emotional one what is your argument? That it's just generally good when college kids are forced into staying at a school where they don't want to be anymore?

With NIL in play, I don't think schools can completely put an end to the process. However, incoming freshmen should not be allowed to enter the portal. The way I see it, a team has used a slot in their recruiting number for their service, so they should have to wait until their sophomore year to enter the portal.

Of course, Tyrann played as a freshman and sophomore, and was the GOAT defensive player for LSU, so he's not the best example. Then got kicked off the team for smoking weed before his junior year.

I didn’t mind it last year when we needed it to build a decent team, but I do hate it overall

I know that is being a hypocrite also
