Tell you what, list the 3rd string QB for all 14 SEC teams.... and see how many of those scare you more than a walk on playing for us.

More than half of elite QBs transfer. It’s a nationwide issue.

Almost every team that has to rely on the 3rd string QB is in deep shite regardless (except Ohio State)

Are you really okay with the possibility of being 2 big injuries away from starting a walkon at QB?

Laughable. You think a walk on QB would start? First, two big injuries would be terrible and second, we have talent on the team that would that from ever being a consideration.

Orgeron destroying LSU's depth

Because he brought in a QB better than the ones on hand? We had three before Burrow, we now have 3 again with an upgrade. Coach O can't force guys to stay. Some guys don't want to pay their dues as backups. To say O is destroying QB depth is ridiculous, and I'm not an O sycophant. Some of you guys are Never- Orgeroners and have ODS.

Signed a QB. Maybe the top 50 kid that was in Bossier.

You realize that if McMillan and Narcisse both transfer, and LSU loses Brennan and Burrow, they will be starting a walk-on quarterback, right?

LSU is about to have 2 quarterbacks, not 3.

That's nieve. Believe me, I know the role of 'walk on's' and it is not to start when the guy ahead of you goes down.

Because teams losing multiple QBs in a season has never happened before right? Even if only for a few games. If one of our QB's ends up going down for the year we are in extremely bad shape at QB

QB depth is a problem all over. I believe Alabama only had two scholarship QBs last year.

62 percent of elite 11 quarterbacks transfer

Of the 16 five-star quarterbacks in the 247Sports Composite to earn a five-star rating since 2010, Johnson is the 10th to have transferred.

Of the 33 quarterbacks who made Rivals' top-100 national recruiting lists over the last five years, 15 transferred from the colleges with which they originally signed.

They had 3. They have 4 going into 2018. They have another 2 4* quarterbacks committed.

You guys will realize one day that a little bit of research goes a long way.

It’s a risk that had to be taken. LSU needs to win NOW! Signing Burrow gives us the best chance to do that. With that said, I expected JM would be the one. LN either did not want to continue to compete against JB and MB, or just felt Ensminger’s offense was not for him.

I like the way coach O handled this situation. He was honest with all of the qbs.

The QB Whisperer Dan Mullen had 2 QBs transfer when he started Fitz in 2016. Both were higher rated recruits than Fitz.

Then Fitz got hurt and they were forced into playing a freshman that wasn't ready. They lost to a garbage Ole Miss team going 1-1 to finish what should have been a decent season for them.

Good example.

Now that I think about it. Mullen had 3 QBs transfer (Williams, Staley, Tiano) after naming Fitz a sophomore as starter in 2016.

The backup QBs knew they didn't have a shot at playing a game until Fitz got killed or graduated. In 2017 Mullen was razor thin at the QB position. He had Fitz, RS Freshman Thompson, and the walk on white QB from Scooba Last Chance U Season 1. He was already enrolled as student at State and had to be talked into practicing football for another year
