When you are 6'7 your knees are a liability. As a Pats fan, I saw Gronk get knee injury after knee injury from not going down and getting low.

DBs are pussies they aren't trying to wrap him up, they are aiming for the knee everytime. At some point you have to protect yourself and go down. Live to see the next play

I pray he just has a bruise of some sort, because we REALLLY need him. No other TE on the team is a real passing threat.

Bro you just said it.. he’s 6’7 and added more muscle. WTF do you want him to do, slide? He was trying to break tackles. Fans will start complaining if he runs out of bounds all the time. He’s selfless man. He was going to win this game for us. He was slowly taking over.

Yeah I was thinking this last night. Ultimately injuries are apart of the game but I wish he would have just went down. And I say this because he was limping before the injury.

I would suggest players go back to wearing knee pads.

He’s my favorite player but his body type is not built for football. (Longevity wise)

I wore knee pads and got my knee hyperextended by a low hit. I agree but that knee pad is thin. It does nothing against a helmet.

Can you lead with your helmet on a tackle?

I think this will be a learning experience for him. I admire his toughness, but when you’re a 6’7 upright runner you are going to be exposed to a lot of hits around your knees. It’s one thing when you are near the goal line, or trying to get a critical 1st down, but he will be better served to go down before the extra 2-3 tacklers are adding hits to him.

Unfortunately, his height is going to lead to a short career at this point. Every tackle is going to be people diving at his legs and that’s just not going to hold up. Doesn’t matter how many pounds he puts on. He’s going to have to start hurdling people or they will have to limit getting him the ball in space for his own good. He had a knee injury last year, they had him in a no contact jersey in camp to avoid this from happening at practice..

Really hard to protect yourself when the defender puts his helmet on the knee. That was a tough spot to take a hit.

Plus it looked like his leg may have buckled on him a second before he took the hit. He was in pretty bad pain.

TDG did nothing wrong. He took a bad shot trying to make a play.

What purpose do you think a knee pad serves and what kind of a difference do you think it would have made in Green’s case?

I wouldn't complain if he ran out of bounds, his health is more important than 3 extra yards when he already had the first.

He had a guy tracking him and a guy directly in front of him, all im saying is he should have gotten low and not continue running full speed into the the head of another player.
