i agree

after i started to think about it, everyone seems to want the next young stud. well, we arent kentucky or kansas, and if we get that young stud, and he turns out to be a stud, then he will leave lsu to go to another school that has more of a history

that being said, i dont think going with johnson is wrong at all. he is older, but if he is successful here this could potentially end up being his last job in basketball.

if that makes any sense.....

Dont get your panties in a wad just yet. I'm not believing anything until I see what Zee's sources have to say

He's not old. In fact, he's younger than Les Miles. He graduated from college in 1983, so that puts him around 48-50.

Yes, but his profile says he played at Boise St from 74-78, , so that puts him near 53. Just because he graduated in '83 doesn't mean he was 22 when he did it.

Guess ol' Travis turned down your advances, sorry to hear that, but go to any airport restroom and tap your foot and you may find what you're looking for..

This is a good upbeat thread, why attack a good family man and spit dung on the positive vibes this news brings (if confirmed).

lsu could've done worse, but he's only had 2 good seasons in his career, the rest mediocre.

lsu coach or not, i thought the guy was a total dumbass for getting ejected in the 1st half against marquette.

Why hire a guy who's current school wasnt going to renew his contract, there was all sorts of talk about stanford wanted him out and he has no ties to teh south his recruitting base is all west coast so oce again we will have another coach who cant keep Louisiana players in Louisiana

He's 51, which is a good age for a coach. Not too old, not too young.

He actually has a lot of ties to Texas, Look at the recruiting class he had at stanford coming in this year and there were a few guys from Texas.

Pretty sure that's wrong. He made the Sweet 16 when he was with Nevada, and made the it this year too, so that's at least 4. I thought Stanford won a game last year too, which would make it 5.

Brady won 6 in 11 years for the record.

Great hire.
