Drive, leave early so you avoid traffic in major cities, park at the hotel and uber the rest of the time you are there.

It's not really that hard.

If you are leaving from Killian you don't even have to worry about leaving early to avoid BR traffic.

Hey granny....your reading comprehension and YOU both suck...lol
I simply offered another option...one that is comfortable, safe and rather enjoyable when traveling with a group of Tiger fans that like to party a bit...wtf is wrong with that and you ? MORON !

Went to the SEC Championship. Parking is extremely easy. Park in one of the 600 parking garages in downtown for $10 and then walk 15 mins to the stadium and back

Leaving BR next Friday morning around 10am which should put us at our hotel around 7pm EST. Shower, grab dinner, then find a bar to party with Tigers Friday night.

Uhhh...where did you find it this cheap?

I paid $7 overnight in ATL (was parked less than 12 hours.

Daytime parking was around $10. It was between Courtland and Peachtree on a side street near the Hyatt Regency.

Are we allowed to point out the rules?

It just seems different in this situation. I am quite perplexed.

Which train company are you taking?

Amtrak blows....dont do it. You get on and its feels like parole day at the local prison.

Bucket list item for my wife and kids so last summer rode from Longview to Chicago.....18 1/2 hours of BS. Never again. Didnt even use the back end of the ticket...just flew out of Ohare back to Shreveport.

Sounds like you and yours' had a tough experience...sorry
we've had nothing but good experiences during several trips to attend the ole ms. game via N.O.-Memphis 'party train' !
To each his own...was just proactively pointing out an alternate means of travel....so much hostility here...merry Christmas to all !

Just for fun I looked at flights from Shreveport. Only one that wasn’t sold out was $1400.

Then utilize MARTA to get around the city !
MARTA isn’t a typical subway. Unless your hotel and restaurants are right on the MARTA line and near a stop, you’d have to walk a long way to get to where you’re going. Or take Uber to and from the MARTA station. And MARTA covers VERY little of the city.

yes, if you’re just going between downtown and the stadium, MARTA will work. If you’re heading up to Midtown or Buckhead, it’s different.
