Flights are mostly gone/vastly over-priced....driving is a 9 Hr. pain, then parking head-aches etc. ! Consider the 11 1/2 hr. train ride from N.O. to Atl. for $ 132 roundtrip ! Then utilize MARTA to get around the city !

Driving is a pain but adding 1/3 travel time and riding on a train with nasty people is a better option for you??

It'll take two hours to get out of Baton Rouge.

This. We knew that flights out of both BR and NOLA would be limited and sell out quickly, so we're opting to drive. Parking fees at the hotel will suck, but it will still be cheaper than flying and it's not a bad drive.

I actually like takin the train with my group. You can move around , drink, socialize , play cards. take a nap, read , watch movies, etc..the time flies.

Comfortable and easy .

You could take a hot air balloon, you could hitchhike, you could walk if you leave now.

Yeah I'm flying out of Gulfport. Got a roundtrip for $322 when I booked. It was like $350 less than Nola.

No MARTA station convenient to Amtrak. You’ll have to take cab/Uber to your hotel when you initially get there.

I did Megabus from NOLA to ATL for the SEC game because I didn't feel like driving. Original trip only cost me $13, but I changed my departure date and it bumped the cost to $50.

Bus is double decker and has 81 seats. Stops to pick up in Mobile, stops for 20 minutes in Evergreen for a pit stop, stops to pick up in Montgomery and drops off at Civic Center MARTA Station.

Trip takes about 9 hours.
