One of my issues with LSU marketing & merchandising is that we are not consistent in the color palette like other schools. T-shirts vary in extremes in the "purples" and "golds."

I do agree, and apparantly we need to be more consistent with the coloring of the uniforms or else we would not be having this argument.

all I am saying though is our gold looks totally different depending on which channel you watch and what time of day it is(in person, but I find in this situation the purple is more affected)

We're not having an argument, I was just pointing out that you are wrong that the color of the pants hadn't changed when it has. That's all.

We have a major technical problem with our shade of purple on TV. For some reason, our version of purple often shows up as blue. This was huge problem in the 70's & 80's especially for basketball, but seems to have been largely resolved.

That's your TV and you need to adjust the color on there. Purple is a hard color to adjust for televisions because if you add to much red it will make every thing red. Increase too much blue, it becomes blue.

Yelling Tiger Bait when the opposing teams come out on the field def. needs to be brought back. No more simple booing that everyone else does.

You may have to log in to see it but here is the text for those that can't:

Do you always scream and chant TIGER BAIT when you see someone from the other team?! Do you chant it from miles away? Do you chant it from the backseat of cars? Do you chant it just about anytime you can? Well this group is for you and make sure when you see ANYONE from the opposing team to scream TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT!!!

From this monent forward whenever an oposing team steps out on to the field in Death Valley rather than yelling boo, we need to start yellnig TIGER BAIT! Oh and AUBURN IS TIGER BAIT!

Expand this one or start a new one?

I can't remember what law firm it is, but they have been campaigning for the Tiger Bait tradition since I've been going to LSU. I can't remember if it's in the Tiger Weekly or the Reveille, but they have an advertisement for their firm every week that says TIGER BAIT in bold, then under it "Keep the tradition alive. Don't boo, yell tiger bait when the opposing team enters the field."

Meh, I think the fb campaign could work a lot better. You have to get the students involved before anyone else will join in.

I know, I was just mentioning it. And btw this has been tried before on facebook, it's just tough to get everyone to do it. Most of the student section uses FB, but the rest of the stadium FB users are probably in the minority. The boos drown out the people tiger baiting, and eventually people just give up. Eventually the student section does get a Tiger Bait chant going, but it's usually small.

I hope your campaign works though.

Somebody ought to contact that law firm - maybe they'd be willing to contribute $$$ to have some flyers printed or other promotional materials.
