@MicklesAdvocate Shareef O'Neal will miss remainder of the season with foot injury, #LSU coach Will Wade says

Would’ve been nice to have him back in time for the dance.

Have they disclosed what exactly the foot injury is?

Would really suck if this is one of those injuries he's going to have forever. I really think he could develop into a solid 10 and 7 kind of a guy

I feel bad for Shareef, he went through a lot to get here. And now he has another uphill battle. A lot of people put so many unfair expectations on him. Here’s to hoping he heals up and can be productive.

He’s battled a foot injury for most of the season and injured it again after that long stretch he missed his first game back. I’m assuming it’s still the foot. I hope he’s 100% to start next year, he’s got nice potential.

Shareef will be stronger than ever after an offseason of physical pearapy. I’m sure of it.

A healthy Shareef would be an important part of next season’s front court pearsonnell

That sucks. Was hoping he’d be able to make an apearance in the tourney.

Really hope this kid has the want too to be good. Shawn Eddy can get him to bulk up and he could be a real contributor for his time here. Get on him Shaq

Yep. He gave good minutes in limited action this season.

On a side note, next year might be the longest and most athletic roster Wade has had at LSU. Fudge, Colbert, Wilkinson, Gaines, Knight, O'Neal, Leblanc all have great length. Now, they don't have much bulk and there doesn't look to be a shooter in that bunch, but if THAT group can't defend then Wade needs to hang it up. There shouldn't be passing lanes anywhere with 7 foot wingspans all over the court.
