Last two starting QBs, Burrows & Etling are unquestionably two of toughest QBs ever!

Hodson, Mettenberger also...

how could you forget Zach Mettenberger at the end of the Bama game where he was basically disabled?

Yeah I think people forget how tough Etling was because burrow wears the tough guy mantra so well.
Etling also wasn't afraid to stick his nose in there but instead of coming up looking mad/tough, he'd pop up with a goofy/calm look on his face.

Mett literally crawled off a field after his OL gave up

You really need to go back and look at some of the performances from the QBs in the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's.

Rohan Davey was one tough Mofo !!

Etling, Burrow, & Mettenberger were all tough QBs. Etling would get demolished a lot and just get right back up.

For those too you g to experience the teams prior to 2000, watch film of Bert Jones, Steve Ensminger (yes the guy many on this sight love to criticize) and Tommy Hodson. They were all baller, tough as nails as well as being pure drop back QBs. Remember one vicious hit on Hodson in an Aurburn game where hit bit half his tongue and had to have it stitched back on...came back into the game and lead us to victory. We have a history of tradition in tough SOBs at QB.

Been watching LSU since 1951; that's why I posted last two starting QBs.
You are right there were real great competitors!

Yep. Thanks for the correction

Burrows, kept head in the game after 2 targeting hits. All business, no B.S.

Jefferson had his faults but he took some kill shots and got up.

Appreciate both, but you cannot leave Mett out of this conversation.
