If you think Alabamas success is because of kiffin and not what saban has built, YOU are delusional. He's a joke.

Easy 6-6 new coach but I think 8-4 gets a new coach

Stupid question. Why would you take 8-4 and more Les? Both records are huge disappointments and both would result in mediocre-low end bowl games. Give me the record that results in a coaching change.

Are you so dense to not realize Saban makes new hires all the time and has been a Kiffin supporter for the better part of 8 years? He's constantly complimented Kiffin as one of the best offensive minds in football. He hired him as soon as he got the chance.

Tell me why, in detail, he is a joke and I will gladly counter.

The problem I have with all of this is that last year, things didn't fall apart until later in the season. This year it is starting with the first game. Now we have to endure another mediocre bullshite season with all of this talent going to waste. I'd say 9-3 gets him fired but I've been wrong each and every time I make that prediction.

.this is no guarantee especially with the states financial situation.

This argument doesn't hold water anymore. It never should have in the first place. TAF has the money. Now that the behind the scenes shite has been exposed, that stupid "the state is in financial trouble" argument won't work. Two different pots of money. Fire Les miles money has nothing to do with the State's budget.

If LSU doesn't hire Peyton Manning they've failed.

I want to lose the fist 4 games. Hear me out on this

- He gets fired immediately if that happens.

- We get the process started on getting first dibs on available coaches

- We get an interim coach who isn't afraid to make necessary adjustments.

- We get an awesome coach in the end.

And all we have to do is lose the first 4 games. It's so much better in the long run than continuing to slosh around in mediocrity for a few more years.

Miles will step down and BDP will become interim HC. The rant will crash, no way chicken could keep up.

one more loss before November and I wouldn't be shocked to see the plug get pulled and LSU go the interim HC route. I'd be pumped.

With this administration I don't think 8-4 is enough for them to pull the plug on Les

He was pretty much out the door last year after 9-3, but was given one more chance.

With such a loaded team this year, if he doesn't win the West, he's gone.

you don't think that today Kiffin would be a far better coach than Miles? Keep in mind I am no longer dwelling on 2007.

Next year, we return very little experienced talent so it is probably a complete rebuild which takes multiple years to build up from. You may as well be doing that with a coaching staff you want in place for the long run.

It is championship or bust this season. I just don't think this team is going to lose 6 games with the amount of talent it has. If we won 8 games with Freshman Anthony Jennings at QB and this same offensive system, I can't possibly see us winning fewer games this year in what appears to be the weakest the SEC has been in a decade.

I'll always pull for LSU to win so I would take 8-4 over 6-6. But I would expect, like Georgia did last year, that a 9-3 or 8-4 season with no conference or division championship will be enough to move on.

it was enough last year! he was told that was his last game. his family was not on the field pre game for nothing nor did the players carry him off for nothing.

supposedly this year was sec title or you are fired.

Kiffin is a great OC. A great one.

But he has been a failure everywhere at HC.

There is more to being a HC than being an OC and Kiffin has proven that he can't handle that extra responsibility.

I view Kiffin and Muschamp as the same. Both great coordinators, neither great HC.
