hell, 9-3 might get him fired unless somehow we end up going to the SEC championship

This. Look at the outrage over 1 loss. 3 losses will be too much to ignore.

that's easy. 6-6 and 8-4 gets you to the same level bowl (Indy, Taxslayer, Belk, Texas, GoDaddy, Outback, etc). He would have to make NY6 for me to even have a second thought.

But he has been a failure everywhere at HC.

myth. Again, USC is a bad barometer as he walked into sanctions literally weeks after being named HC.

UT actually had a top 10 recruiting class and only lost to Bama on a fluke chip shot FG blocked by Cody. Bama went on to win the NC and an undefeated run-after having to beat 1st year, unranked Kiffin lead UT with a blocked FG, at home.

We are talking about a UT team with Crompton at QB and Hardesty at RB. Their bet WR was Denarius Moore.

Tenner had more 1st downs, was more efficient on 3rd down, and had TOP in their favor. The only stat they lost by was rushing. Mark Ingram.

Oh by the way, they held Bama to 12 points.

They lost, but the point is that I remember then thinking Kiffin was going to turn it around at Tenner.

Yes, let's not mention the sanctions that would cause any coach to struggle

I can even go for 0-12 if it guarantees that Les Miles is canned.

What about 11-1 regular season with SEC Championship berth and Miles is staying? I think most fans would take a NC regardless of the coach, so this makes it a bit more difficult.

I'm aware he had sanctions but that team absolutely quit on him. And he quit on it.

We are basing this off of 1 game?

what the hell man?

But he didn't. And he left behind all kinds of baggage.

Then did the same at USC.

I don't want that here. Neither should you.

You are not looking at this objectively. All you see is his shiny offense.

and this is all you should need to see. Educate yourselves, tshiz and salmon

quote:

Punishment[edit]
As a result of sanctions issued by both USC and the NCAA, the Trojan athletic program received some of the harshest penalties ever meted out to a Division 1 program. The football team was forced to vacate the final two wins of its 2004 national championship season, as well as all of its wins in 2005. It was also banned from bowl games in both 2010 and 2011 and was docked 30 scholarships over three years. The basketball team gave up all of its wins from the 2007-08 season and sat out postseason play in 2010. The NCAA accepted USC's earlier elimination of its wins between November 2006 and May 2009 and did not sanction the team further.[1]

No, I am not basing it off of one game. I am using a game vs one of the best Bama teams of my lifetime as well as a sanction ridden team that was docked 30 schollys.

To act as though he should be to blame for what happened at USC is ridiculous.

He may be arrogant, but he knows offense. That's the point.

Do you think his time at Bama should not be considered a plus? Have you seen what he has personally done with their last 2 QBs? What is LSU's 1 position that everyone with mild knowledge of cfb understand is the issue?

He would be a fine hire and honestly, if Herman and Jimbo aren't available I'd prepare yourself to climb aboard the Lane Pain Train.

considering homeboy just posted the record at USC with 0 context, I thought it was pretty obvious

you might remember, but are apparently placing blame on Kiffin for something that Carroll created?

I've already stated that he is a great OC.

I'm placing blame on him for absolutely losing his team and quitting on them

Do you remember how it ended at USC? His players fricking quit on him because they hated him.

I don't think he's this bad person or that he gave up on USC. That was his dream job and he said that many years ago. I think caught a bunch of shite for a problem that was created well before he was the HC. I also love his QB development and enthusiasm as an OC and QB coach.
