I believe you have struck a nerve in the Miles haters. These folks will never admit Miles is an elite coach. Very sad.

Conflicted with Miles staying? You are retarded and spoiled. Go cheer for another team. No one is perfect, just STFU already.

78% overall
more wins in the SEC in the past 6 years than any other team
5-1 in bowls

Not a lot to consider at all, it's a damn strong resume and that's that.

Coach Miles's record of success is as good as anybody's.

That doesn't mean that he can't improve the team in some areas mentioned here, and I expect Coach Miles to improve the team in those areas.

Well, I am not a Miles supporter but am not going to obsess about it. The thing I don't like is his seeming lack of preparadness and seeming lack of situational awareness on the sidelines during the games. As an example, I see plays developing right in front of him (last series of the Auburn game on fourth down)that just did not have the right look to it and I am screaming at my TV, "call a timeout and get it right". He just stands there and watches with no action on his part. shite like that.

Probably Les Miles since he is 2&2 against Saban and 3&3 against Meyers.

We have alot to feel good about after last season. Once again we played a great bowl game. We all hope to see some huge improvement in the offense and game management, but I am very happy to have Les Miles back.

I'm glad he stayed only because we couldn't up grade. I think we can upgrade.

We could argue over the definition of "elite," but for me it includes the ability to lose less than 2 games per year. Les is so lucky, he is the only coach of a national champion (football) with 2 losses.

Miles is a terrific recruiter. He is a decent coach, but enough of this. It's time for him to actually prove he can bring home hardware again now that the program is 100% his players. Miles has to win the West next year. I don't give a crap what his record is. He goes 4 years in a row without winning a 6 team division then he is not worth 4 mill a year.

I do like Les Miles the man. I have criticized his game management skills, but I think he addressed those concerns after Tennessee; time will tell. Miles is in the same boat as Cholly Mac; he followed a coach that won a national championship and could never quite fill that person's shoes. I had a great deal of respect for Mac; now that Miles has chosen LSU over his alma mater, I respect him more. I also enjoyed the smash mouth football that we used in the Cotton Bowl; it is still supremely effective in this day of the spread.

This entire Michigan fiasco hasn't changed my opinion of Miles one iota.

Miles is a good coach, but not an elite one.

He is an exceptional recruiter.

He is a below average tactician.

His teams typically commit too many turnovers, too many penalties, and occassionally make awful blunnders (Ole Miss, Tennessee, Arkansas).

LSU under Miles plays down to its competition.

He's won a single SEC title in six years.

I'm really ambivalent about his return.

It happens to the best of them.

Sure didn't look like it against Texas A&M.

True...bu his teams are always in contention to win the West division of the toughest conference in America. And of course, he won a BCS national Championship.

Sorry to hear that. I have a feeling 2011 he will make you proud that he is the head coach of LSU.

If we had a month to prepare for every game, then I'd be a huge Les Miles fan. Unfortunately, we generally get a week and his flaws will show as always as far as a game day coach. His one bowl loss that wasn't a blowout happened when the weather changed close to game time and changed the game dynamics. As per Les, he didn't adjust the game plan well, and we lost.

Think about this. Les is 5-0 in bowl games in a dome. 0-1 in non-dome bowl games. Now, why do you think that is?

If I remembered correctly, adjustment was made that allowed LSU take the lead in the 4th quarter. The team was also be able to make a drive to get into field goal territory, but alas, a fumble foiled our chance to pull out a win.
