They will prob have to bring in a QB due to numbers at position, but there’s likely a handshake deal for Nuss to start after sticking around this past offseason

Judging by the skin color, TrouserTrout is already screaming for the backup and the QB hasn't even transferred to LSU yet.

Colin Hurley will have a lot to say about this.

There are rumblings we may be asking him to find another school b/c he's been BAD

How long does Sloan remain as our QB Coach? I'm impressed with how he has developed Daniels and similar impact by him could change the landscape (from the recent past) in the short run.

You seem awfully confident that Nuss is next. I have yet to see him play well. That doesn’t mean he can’t, but I am skeptical.

I’ve never been on the “Nuss bus” to the extent of wanting Daniels benched. That being said, I would argue we saw Nuss play pretty damn well in the SECCG last year. Especially considering the situation, the opponent, and the fact that he didn’t really have meaningful game reps up to that point (meaning enough reps to settle in against a quality opponent).

I’ll also say this about Nussmeier - ever since hearing his interview with Culotta when he was a commit in 2020, I’ve been impressed with his maturity. The kid seems to have a great attitude and I think he will be a great leader for this team when he gets his shot.

Yeah, he needs to make better decisions with the ball. But he’ll be in his third year of the Denbrock offense with a full offseason as the #1 guy. I think the odds of him being really good are considerably higher than the odds of him flaming out.

My biggest concern is the potential lack of returning experience at WR. But he will have a great OL and should have a strong running game to back him up, especially if Diggs comes back.

You go after the best qb’s in the portal and the best in high school. You are only going to hit on a few that will come in the first place do to possibly relationships etc. You always add period if it is there.

They still think defenses should hold teams to 12points.

Yes, yes we do. Miss the killer defenses of yore!

why would anyone be happy doing that when they can play right away somewhere else

Playing too soon can destroy confidence and lead to worse overall development. I know players want to play, but playing when you aren’t ready is not the best thing for them.

Aaron Rogers did not start right away in the NFL. Steve Young sat behind Montana.

Two good years as a starter are better than 4 mediocre years because you didn’t learn or developed bad habits.
