Why go out and Gunsling it around and expose plays in your play book? When can you run it up their throat with the best running back in CFB.

Because you will need more than just a running game when good teams can push back. Sorry you have been in a coma the past ten years of Les Miles' tenure.

You really don't understand football at all. I realize you don't have the ability to recognize this, but you really should just read and not post.

There is some carry over (or hang over) from the years of recruiting run first players and imprinting on them a pound the ball mentality.

Guess what? That isn't changing. LSU will never run a Mike Leach type offense.

The exposing plays excuse is obsurd. Was said time and time again when Miles offenses were questioned. The old hidden play book legend.

We better start demonstrating a legit passing game soon or it will be 1 year closer to a decade without beating Bama. I'm not cutting any new coach slack. You are getting paid millions of dollars a year from a public institution. I want to see results...not empty promises. Aranda produced immediately and thus earned the accolades. Sorry if this offends you snowflakes, but I've been promised a passing attack to balance out the run game for over ten years. Get it done Canada, or else Danny needs to return the shirt.

Because he has used it enough to make the threat of the pass effective which has allowed our best athlete to shine... Guice.

What's up?

As many have said, there has been no need to do anything but what the offense has done to blow both opponents out.

The take away ought to be that, while it's true LSU has traditionally been very successful just running the ball against inferior opponents (meaning nearly everyone else) we've done it stubbornly running into stacked fronts even against weak defenses. And yes...while LSU has run way more than passed thus far, the WAY the offense has done it is vastly different. We're no longer running out of Power I's and running toss dives into the teeth of a defense. There's motion everywhere.

And...if the safeties step up, Etling has taken a stab deep...something we almost refused to do regardless of how many guys jumped into the box in recent years.

What we as fans ought to be looking for is a coordinator who takes whatever the defense gives him, and changes as soon as they take it away, finding what the next weakness is. In the past, Canada has seemed to do this. He has seemed to do it so far. I have high hopes he will continue to do so as the season progresses...

I'm not having trouble understanding who the snowflake is in this situation. One is talking about what all he/she wants, the others are the people who know football.
