You are a sad excuse for an LSU Fan (assuming you are an actual LSU fan).
Football has won 2 SEC Championships and 2 West Division Championships since 2007
Basketball won the 2009 SEC West Division, 2009 SEC Regular Season Championship and appeared in 2 NCAA Tournaments since 2007
Baseball has won 6 SEC Tournaments, 4 SEC Regular Season and 6 SEC West Division Championships and appeared in Omaha 5 times (won it all in 2009 and were the runner up this year), won 7 NCAA regionals (appeared in 9), won 5 NCAA Super Regional (appeared in 7)
Yea man nothing but that 2009 Baseball season was worth a shite huh? If stupid was painful you'd be a chronic sufferer. This is just the big 3 mens teams, the ladies have also accomplished several championships as well as the men and womens teams in various other sports.
Just sad.........

I've never encountered fans a arrogant as Bama fans in football. It isn't even close. Auburn and Ole Miss fans are next in line. Haven't spent any time around UT fans, but I hear they're pretty bad as well.

Your brother in law sounds like a dick.

He's right. We think we are entitled to national championships. They might be the only worse fan base in the country when it comes to arrogance, but at least they win national championships with the frequency within which their fan base can be satisfied.

We used to have a reason to be. Lately, not so much.

Seriously, unless you're in prison, if it's that bad, pack up and move out.
Relocate to a place that's not a shite hole!

Truth is, we are about the same as most fan bases.
The fans for most major college programs right now are saying "this is our year" and they are giving reasons why it will happen. Just listen to sports talk stations or read message boards.
After injuries, arrests, kids kicked off teams, etc. some will reevaluate but still give reasons why this is the year. Incoming freshman is better than the starting senior, etc. (some call this delusional).
After game 1 when they have lost, the narrative goes to "we can still win it all if, if, if" and some crazy scenarios are proposed. Team A beats team C and team C then loses to Team G and the conference champion for Conference D loses two games at home in dramatic fashion and we run the table with 6 games on the road against top 10 teams.
After the second loss it is down to "too many injuries, schedule was brutal, etc." as the reality of the season sets in.
After the third and fourth loss the narrative is "next year is our year" as the fan base looks ahead to what will be. Recruiting becomes more important as this is really all they have to look forward to. Season is a bust.
LSU fans are just about like other fan bases, some stupid fans, some realistic fans, some homer fans and some band wagon fans.
Bama fans are just about the same although their current run and their past 35 national championships (sarcasm) makes some of them feel like it is a given that they win. They can't comprehend why anyone would not want to see their current run continue, why others don't pull for them or cheer for their success since no one else has a shot. Phil Savage just wrote a book about Alabama's success and he thinks it would be a great book for everyone to read. Most of the country doesn't care about Alabama's success except to see it end.
Another issue with Bama fans of today is that many of them are bandwagon fans just because Bama is winning. Good friend of mine is from Oregon and has been a Ducks fan for his entire life (66 years) but for the past several years he is a Bama homer. I asked him why and he said, "I go with winners". For most of us "fans" that isn't really a fan and Bama has lots of those due to their current success.
So, LSU fans are no more arrogant than Bama fans.

Until we get a really good QB we are delusional.

Just because we don't T-bag drunk guys in the French Quarter doesn't make us arrogant.

I was talking sports with a couple of mechanics who were working on my car. One dude said he's a bama fan. I said, "how long have you been a bama fan? Like, 4 years?" He said, "you got me there."
There are two types of bama fans: the arrogant, inbred yokels who actually went to the school, and band wagoners who have the sporting sophistication of an 8 year-old.

your brother n law may say lsu tiger fans are arrogant but bama tide fans are very rude bout 40 percent of them that i came across. like the guy that poisoned the auburn trees like the many othwrs that tortured opposing fans of other teams. do your brother n law a favor and knock some sense into him since he has never tried to conversate with lsu fans,

whole lot of Bama obsession going on in this thread. A lot of overcompensating too.
How about we just beat them on the field. Until then, we don't really have much to say.
