Just like NOT hanging around to shoot them the bird and heckle them would be a showing of good sportsmanship, right?

You get an A for sportmanship in my book

I fail to see how not giving them a victory lap in our stadium would be showing poor sportsmanship.

I don't know how this works, but our baseball team couldn't stop them from a dogpile in the middle of the field. Is it the fans job to deny them a run around the field, maybe we shoulda tackled them as soon as it started...??

No, it would have been a normal response. I swear some of our fans get a sports version of Stockholm Syndrome.

I'd prefer to take the route of supporting MY team win, loss, or draw......that doesn't include slapping hands with a groups of scrubs that just whipped our arse like they were the '27 Yankees.

This board can't stop sucking their collective dicks much less NOT high five them when they put their hands out.

We really gave them a victory lap? Gotta be fricking kidding me. I watched them dogpile, and was happy for them for a second, but no damn way would I stay to give them a victory lap

I missed it. I stayed and gave them a little cheering because I think they earned it. No way I'd high five them during a victory lap though.

I don't know what you're getting at, but if LSU fans would have just exited the stadium like normal people would, they wouldn't have had a reason to go around high fiving people.

You jokingly made the comment that if you didn't stay to congratulate you are classless. Just wondering if you didn't heckle does it make you classy?

Do visiting teams typically take victory laps around the home team's field??? I'm sure some of our "Great" fans encouraged them.

Oh yea they get an "I'm a great LSU Fan" T-shirt as well.

Thats just taking shite a little too far....and I guarantee you it had everything to do with them being a lesser known team.

How much you wanna bet our fans wouldn't do that if Ole Miss or Cal St Fullerton or someone came and here and took a super regional

Just leaving the park after a game is not taking the a-hole route. It's called normal.

No, it makes you a normal person. Both behaviors are extreme and out of the norm.

What road team even thinks of this? Some loser fan said, "Hey guys, come over here and take a victory lap. We'll congratulate you."

"Oh by the way, aren't we great fans? Do you really like us?"

If anything I would say the Stony Brook lap was more of a "thank you for the hospitality" on the players part. LSU baseball is known for this and it is a selling point for recruiting. ESPN made several comments about it and that type of good attention is always welcome for any of our sports programs IMO.

i stayed and it was one of my proudest moments as an lsu fan to see our fans do that. those of us that stayed also gave the tigers a standing o and cheered them as they left the field. i can appreciate what sbu did and they deserved the lap.

i cant believe people are pissed about this....it made Lsu look great....way better than the white trash that never stepped foot in an Lsu classroom who come and make our fan base look awful on football gamedays by treating opposing teams fans like crap

A selling point to recruits that hit below the Mendoza line against a group of kids that can't find anywhere else to play college baseball besides the smallest 25000 student school in the world
