Yep. Thank you, as they say.

like most, I think Miles is one of the dullest tools in the shed. But in this case, I am not going to let that bias what I see on the vid.

His motions with his arms could also be screaming "get to the line< get set, etc"

But uh>>>>>>>>NO. He was wandering whether he or Crowton would be on top tonite

Folks, he is "waving" his hand down. That may have very well been a motion to stay on the field. He then clearly motions for a FG, LONG before J got the mesage to spike from the "play caller" as JJ called him

You are a little confused. You are combining two actions taken by Miles.
1. As the ball was caught and the chains began to move, Miles is running to the line of scrimmage. He is clearly cupping his hand in a "C" which implies holding a football. He is motioning to throw the ball in a downward motion to the ground. This is called spiking. He even mouths the words. He does this 6 times.

2. 27 seconds later, as Jefferson is behind the offensive line, and looking at the coaches for reassurance, Miles is running down the sideline, with his back to the play, kicking like the guitarist from ACDC. If this means kick the ball, fine, but we don't really know. He has already called the "spike." We can't really tell what the kicking of the leg means because Les is not facing the camera...or the play!

Les messed up...end of story.

He is clearly taking one arm and throwing it down toward the ground in a repeated motion, rather he meant to do this or remembers doing this is not the issue...the video clearly shows this, trying to interpret what was meant is not the issue

What's even more ridiculous is that Jasper was standing right next to him.

Send Jasper out and let him drop kick it or something.

He had 27 seconds to get his fg unit out there...from the completion to the last pass to the restarting of the clock = 27 seconds

throwing your 19 year old QB under the bus when he's out there on a bad wheel making plays for you is just brutal.

And for this reason alone he needs to get the hell out of BR. He is a tarnished man around here and he can't recover.

So in a situation where the only call is a play, or kick the ball, you assume his motion with his foot over and over again in a kicking fashion had nothing to do with calling a play?

Miles let 17 sec. run off the clock before he called a timeout. The same thing happened at Auburn a couple of years ago when Byrd caught the TD. There were 8 sec. left on the clock and on hte postgame interview he said there was plenty of time left. Then he said something about 18 sec. Miles is a clueless retard.

LSUTANGERINE you are a homer of epic proportions if you can't see what clearly happened. I think you are late for your meeting with Les tonight.

You can see Jasper celebrating the completion. If Les wanted to kick a field goal you think he would have known Jasper was right beside him. Miles makes no move or even motions towards Jasper.

IMO he was making the kicking motion right after the play ended. Of course he had no idea whether or not the kicking team was ready or had enough time to go. Once he realized they weren't he panicked and started signaling the spike, not realizing that it would end the game.

That's what it looks like to me.
